We were greeted with brightly coloured crocheted lap blankets hanging over the outside chairs that could keep you protected from the freshness of the cool morning air as we stopped for breakfast at the Café Maldon at 52 Main St, Maldon. It was early on a Sunday morning and the place was absolutely jumping. I ordered an Egg and Bacon roll, which is one of the best I have ever had. You know the type, dry and hot crispy bacon, with slightly runny egg. The roll and contents were hot which is exactly what I wanted on a coolish morning. The coffee I ordered to take away was hot too. If you are stopping at Maldon, or just passing through, I can certainly recommend a meal or coffee here. Well-done team!!

Picked the first cafe on the Main Street. We needed to get a menu as there was only a drinks menu on the table. We popped up to the counter to order remembering our table number. The menu had a few options with a Bagel Focus. We picked the Haloumi and Breakfast Bagels. Served soft and the haloumi was eaten quickly, mostly due to hunger. The Breakfast Bagel was tasty, it was rather good. Coffee was good and the ambience was a-buzz with people chatting and we were perched at the front window.

Nice place for lunch, generous servings and reasonably priced. The burgers were good & the beetroot & haloumi salad looked delicious. Quite busy when we had lunch but didn't wait too long for our meals. I would recommend booking if you're going on a weekend or there's a group of you - we wouldn't have fitted as a walk-in (5 of us on a Sat)

Googled places to eat Maldon and this was one of the best rated. Decided I would go here and give it a go. Disappointed that my meal was delivered to another table. The waitress also realised and approached the other table to tell them that they had the wrong meal, to which the diner said “I have t touched it”. She picked the meal up and walked it over to me placing it in front of me saying “you would of heard what I said and it hadn’t been touched, I’m not sure who gave it to them but it wasn’t me” I was shocked that firstly this had even happened and secondly I was not offered a replacement. Most of the food was cold when I ate it and there was no offer of replacement or a refund. I overheard one of the workers say “we’re all learning” Well learn from this, have a better system so that food doesn’t go to the wrong table, educate your staff on accountability and offer to replace the...

Called in here with two companions during what appeared to be a very busy lunch time. Was greeted and immediately handed menus and instructed to order our meals via the counter by a friendly staff member.I ordered the veggie quiche and my companions both ordered the all day breakfast which consisted of a hash brown, sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, capsicums on sourdough toast.A little pot of baked beans was added on the side,a thoughtful idea.The.meals were cooked to perfection, not a hint of greasiness.Excellent coffee ended the meal, could not be happier.I hope the proprietor appreciates what a talented and proffessional staff they have in the kitchen and out on the floor. Will look forward to visiting again next time we are up...
