Cellar 47 — Restaurant in Victoria

Dearest Readers, I have such a experience to share with you all. I have been to the most fabulous restaurant Cellar 47 in Shepparton. This smashing place has been around almost as long as me dear readers, and that's no short time, LoL's.

As you we entered the restaurant I was greeted by the modern decor, with super comfy seats, and a smiling greeter. Whom was more than accommodating when we asked if we could sit at a table instead of a booth. Another thing about this restaurant was the strict adherence to the covid-19 restrictions, masks and I.D checks made for a very comforting environment.

As soon as we sat, water was offered to us, so prompt and friendly. Not long after we were offered to order drinks. My sister had a s*x on the beach and I stuck to water. The cocktail was aaaaaaamaaaazing, just enough zing of alcohol but bot too much.

We ordered our food, and after a very prompt amount of time, we were eating our apertizers the herb pizza and veggie chips, to die for especially when dipped in the aioli dip. And as if by magic, we had just finished our apertizers when our mains came, such excellent timing. I had a sausage pizza, wood fired, the base a crispy and delightful as any pizza I have ever, and I mean ever had. My sister had a seared duck Maryland with Cajun glaze, I tasted the glaze for I am not a duck fan, and the glaze was the sweet and with a cheeky after back pallete warming sensation.

Well needless to say, the mains were fab, yet my sister decided to have dessert, chocolate moose on a chocolate bowl, I am not a big dessert person, but I have to admit to trying a smidge of the moose. If clouds could be made of chocolate, they would be this moose.

In conclusion dear readers, the service was excellent, and it was so good to see that the Cellar 47 have so many staff working, which ses to me that they are supporting the staff in these most challenging times. The service was excellent and had a very happy family feel to the restaurant, I highly recommend Cellar 47, to one and all.

I ordered a Sex on the Beach and whewww—this one delivers. It came cold, vibrant, and totally photogenic in that cheeky orange-pink gradient. Taste-wise? Sweet and fruity on the first sip (peach schnapps hellooo), but the vodka sneak-attacks you just a little after.

Definitely not just a pretty drink—it has that vacation energy even if you’re just sitting in a laneway bar in the middle of the city. The atmosphere at Cellar 47 also adds to the magic—cozy corners, friendly bartenders, and music that lets you talk but still vibe.

My wife said it's the best Italian she has had. For me, the pasta is as good as I have had.

Stand out meals were: Garlic pizza had the perfect amount of cheese, and wood fired crust.

Gnocchi Affumicato blend of flavours was phenomenal. Normally with pasta dishes, I can generally pick most of the ingredients, but this dish the flavour was so complex I couldn't.

Penne Amatricana was just as complex, and amazing. My wife said this dish was the best Italian dish she has had.

Hawaiian pizza our son enjoyed.

We were full after the dishes, but I thought I had to try their dessert. The chocolate mousse, and sticky date pudding didn't disappoint. The mousse very chocolaty without being too sweet. The sticky date pudding had a beautifully caramelised crust, and again not too sweet.

The waiters were efficient, courteous, and when you thanked them for their wonderful food, they weren't surprised. They know their food is exceptional, and rightly so.
