Wing Li — Restaurant in Victoria

Went to Shepparton for a work trip. I came across this restaurant when I was walking down the street.

I ordered the Singapore noodles and it was nothing like the traditional Singapore noodles.

Singapore noodles have been my favourite dish, and I will normally order this dish when I visit different Chinese restaurants for comparison.

There was no curry powder used and half of the ingredients were not the typical ingredients you will find in a Singapore noodles dish.

The dish was seasoned with white pepper instead and it lacked flavour and characteristics.

There was also no service from the owner as well. I had to wait 5 minutes at the cashier to order the food because the owner just stayed in the kitchen busy cooking, not knowing what was happening in the front of house area. I heard a lot of microwave sounds coming from the kitchen, so I assumed a lot of the ingredients were reheated before putting them together with a quick stir in the end.

During my meal, I saw another customer waiting to be greeted and served by someone but after 5-10 minutes standing there waiting at the cashier, the customer decided to leave as no one showed up to the customer to take the order.

Absolutely appalling service ordered at 8:20pm delivery was ment for 9:16pm I call at 9:45pm as not delivered to be told 15 minutes cooking it now. I wait the 15 mins which will be closing time still nothing I fly down too the shop it's still open and am told it's on there way even though there delivery car was still parked at the door to go home I demanded my money back as my children where still awake waiting for food after a bit of a fuss they ended up refunding me get home ask my partner if they had been his answer nope which I knew would not recommend this store. First impressions weren't great walked in, there was a couple sitting at a table inside and he was smoking cigarettes while they were eating and while we were waiting for our food. He obviously knew the owner or was related to the owner as when he put out his smoke he took his dishes out the back. I didn't think you could smoke inside a restaurant. As we had already ordered our food otherwise I would have turned around and walked out. The spring rolls and chicken and sweetcorn soup was ok. Will not be going back there.
