Mahal Green Olive — Restaurant in Victoria

We had dinner at Mahal Green Olive today and the first negative thing was everything we wanted from the menu was not available, wanted to order two portions of chicken curry and the person at the counter who was the waitstaff and the cook just kept telling us that there was only one serve available to order. Almost 75% of the menu was unavailable and the man at the restaurant was rude, dirty and looked unhygienic. The clothes he had on were so dirty that my kids didn’t want to eat there. The food wasn’t bad but his appearance made us doubtful of the hygiene of the food. We walked in at 5.30 to preorder the meals for dinner. Was asked to comeback in 45 minutes so came back in an hour thinking the food was ready but then had to wait another 15-20 minutes for the food. There were no customers while we were there but it still took too long. We used to love coming here for meals but there were no waitstaff, cutlery and crockery were dirty and there were fingerprints all over the cutlery. The toilets were puttered and filthy. The hand washing sink looked like someone threw up in it. The owner keeps telling people the all these issues are due to Covid-19. But that’s not a reason for the unhygienic practice. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was inviting and cozy, creating the perfect setting for a great meal. I thought well before writing this review as a a bad one will definitely impact in this restaurant. Unfortunately here I am so that other customers are aware. I travel around regional Victoria often during a month for work. To my surprise my favorite indian restaurant was closed on my visit to shepp and had to go to this one. I have always tried the spinach lamb at each of the places I have visited. I can assure everyone that the one I ordered there was tasteless, the lamb had big bones and fat( this dish is meant to be only meat with creamy spinach), the nane(roti) seems to have been cooked on uncleaned pans, as you could see the powderish burnedLike flour on them.
