Really enjoyed the salmon poke bowl. Have had bowls elsewhere that are loaded with way too much rice to cut costs. Generous serve of cured salmon, pickled red cabbage and cucumber with herbs and edamame made the whole dish really satisfying and tasty. Went back for breakfast but my experience was not as good. Ordered the bowl with peanut butter gluten free cereals and fruit, literally one strawberry and a few pieces of sliced banana. One third of the bowl was this awful icy chocolate stuff (Nutella? No idea as I've never eaten it) which wasn't even on the ingredient list so maybe they got my order mixed up with another one. With more fruit and a good dollop of coconut yoghurt this would have been great. As it was the chocolate stuff made it so icky that I couldn't finish it and for the rest of the day I felt heavy and bloated. At $16 for a regular size i felt this was not good value. I like the clean eating concept of this place though so I...

Finally a place in Bright where you can get good fresh non-meat options. I hope they do well but they need to seriously up their service game and employ more staff. Only 2 people ahead of me and I waited 15 minutes. 2 staff and both doing food and drinks for same customer. They need a dedicated Barista, someone on the till and at least one just doing food. I wanted to eat in and they only have disposable bowls and cutlery. Hardly enviro friendly. The backyard bowl was adequate in large but probably too small if a big eater. Food was fresh but the dressing lacked some zing. A bit bland. Would loved to have given 5 stars but they need to improve. I will be back to see if this...

Got a large chicken satay bowl for $23 (15% public holiday surcharge) and regret it

Rice was undercooked and chicken was cold and tough. Also what they don’t tell you is satay means they pour satay sauce on cold pre-cooked chicken. I’m still chewing hard uncooked rice that’s gotten stuck in my teeth as I write this review.

15% public holiday surcharge was just salt on the wound because I don’t think this was worth even $20.

Large isn’t even large. Wish I could say $23 is all I’ll be spending but I’m still hungry so maybe I find some cold pre-cooked chicken meal in Woolies (not that it would be too different from what I just...

Clean Bowled really stands out in Bright. In a town of shops that seem evenly split between twee and modern, and in the winter week I visited many of both sorts were shut, this contemporary joint was jumping. The coffee was the best I had in Bright (not a comprehensive survey!) and was served in beautiful hand made ceramic beakers. I ate my first waffle in 30 years and it was superb. Blueberry infused, lemon ricotta, macadamia nut, granola, Beechworth honey and mint. Absolutely scrumptious! The young staff were warm and friendly. I'll be going back to Bright and I'll be going back to Clean Bowled.

We stopped here for a quick lunch before a hike to Mt Feathertop. The food was very healthy as filling. I felt like there wasn't a lot to pick from on the menu and ended up ordering the regular chicken bowl. This was because we were in a bit of a rush and I didn't realise you could create your own bowl which gives the customer unlimited options. However it was really good as I was able to try foods I wouldn't have ordered in the create your own bowl and the combination they created tasted amazing. The regular was a great size as it was very filling and good value for money being only $15.50.
