I recently returned to Victoria after having spent 8 years working as an Environmental Health Officer in Launceston, but before that l had been an EHO in Moreland, the heart of Melbourne’s Middle Eastern Community. So l think know what good Middle Eastern food should taste like! I first started going there when they had the smaller shop in Sturt Street, which didn’t have any indoor seating, so l sat outside with the elements; (l didn’t realise that Ballarat was actually colder than most of Tasmania, before l moved here). Anyway, the new store is a much more pleasant dining experience, lots of tables and benches, but hardly anyone else seems to sit down to eat? I always have the mixed meat platter, which comes with eight slices of bread grilled on the hot plate, really fresh salad and your choice of two dips. Even better, they can put it on a proper plate, you only need to ask. A couple of gripes. They used to have really good Aryan yogurt drink in the display cabinet, but don’t seem to anymore, though the last time l mentioned it the staff member made me one up and said it was complimentary. Also, it would be nice if they had an oven and had a nice lamb or chicken Iskender on the menu. Sizzling hot meat, yoghurt, tomato paste and cubes of bread, served on a cast...

Response to owners reply- I most definitely did not threaten anyone in any way. You were rude and abrupt using obscene language repeatedly during our conversation. I did not call you 70 times, I called back due to your staff hanging up the phone. I have ordered from your store over 40 times spending thousands of dollars over the last 5 or so years (not just on Menulog but also in person). I understand I made the choice to order through Menulog but it is also YOUR choice to engage Menulog as you choice of delivery service, the least you could do was apologize but you didn't even have the decency to do that. Disgusting attitude.
Attached is a photo of where the menulog drive left my food (4 houses away on my...

I recently had the pleasure of trying the kebabs in Ballarat during a work trip, and let me tell you — it’s hands down the best kebab I’ve had in the country town! I highly recommend the Mixed Lamb and Chicken Kebab with Lot and Cheese. The combination of the juicy lamb and tender chicken was perfect, and the added cheese made it absolutely mouthwatering.
To truly elevate the experience, make sure to add cheese as a topping and get it wrapped in Turkish bread — it takes the flavor to a whole new level! The bread was soft and fresh, providing the perfect wrap for the delicious filling.
If you're ever in Ballarat and in the mood for a fantastic kebab, this is the spot to check out. It’s definitely a treat for...
