My recent visit to Hotham Hotel left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. While the food was passable, the abysmal behavior and utter rudeness of the staff overshadowed any positive aspects. I can confidently say that I will never step foot in this restaurant again. The management of Hotham Hotel urgently needs to address their exceptionally rude staff, as their actions were completely unacceptable.
Despite the mediocre food, the way we were treated by the staff left a lasting negative impression. It was shocking and appalling when a staff member decided to clear our table while we were still in the middle of enjoying our meal. This blatant disregard for basic customer courtesy was a clear reflection of the overall attitude and professionalism demonstrated by the restaurant's employees.
It is beyond disappointing that the management at Hotham Hotel has allowed such rude and disrespectful behavior to persist among their staff. It is their responsibility to ensure that guests are treated with respect and receive attentive service throughout their visit. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my time at the restaurant.
Based on my experience, I strongly advise against dining at Hotham Hotel. The unpleasant encounter with the staff has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I have no desire to subject myself to such treatment in the future. The management must take immediate action to rectify this issue and instill a higher standard of professionalism and customer service within their establishment.
I cannot emphasize enough how detrimental the presence of rude staff can be to the overall dining experience. I sincerely hope that the management of Hotham Hotel takes these criticisms seriously and implements significant changes to improve the behavior and attitude of their staff members.
In conclusion, I strongly discourage anyone from visiting Hotham Hotel until substantial improvements are made in the management of their staff and the overall...
Read moreThe table had crusty food on it, and it had the worst smell. So much so it put us off eating. Should've walked out as soon as we entered because of the smell. I had a baked potato that was almost crunchy (raw). We asked for a cloth to clean the table and the waiter rolled his eyes and said he would do it. He then proceeded to spray the table but barely wiped it and walked away leaving the table very wet. On our way out we saw what can only be described as mouldy vomit on the floor (hence the smell). I will never set foot in this hotel again. I hate leaving bad reviews because I know people are trying their best but this was not even close to trying. I've not even mentioned the ridiculous prices for the less-than-average food and service. I write this in the hope...
Read moreSheridan at the Hotham Hotel is an absolute legend-if hospitality had a Hall of Fame, she'd already have her own wing. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us like old friends (or possibly VIPs she decided to adopt), and somehow managed to juggle a full house with the speed of a caffeinated octopus and the charm of your funniest mate. She's got an uncanny ability to appear right when you need a drink, a laugh, or a gentle reminder that yes, that is your fourth round of chips, quick-witted, warm, and effortlessly on point, Sheridan doesn't just work at Hotham Hotel-she is the Hotham Hotel. We came for the snow, stayed for the beer, and will 100% be...
