This food doesn't just taste delicious because it's cold and you have been out skiing all day. It's just delicious!! I think we covered most of the menu and enjoyed everything. The boa was super crispy and definitely a highlight, as was the Penang curry. On the ski lifts, I heard multiple times how great the Raman is; however, it's only on the lunch menu, so I will have to make my way back. Additionally, the pricepoint was reasonable, and unlike other places, on the mountain, I didn't feel like I was being ripped off.

not a huge fan of the vegan teriyaki bowl. there wasn't a balance of flavours, the purple cabbage was too acidic and there's too much pickled ginger for anyone to eat. the tofu was the strangest texture I've ever had, but it was nice and crispy. nice that it has edamame at least. the ramen option does not come with tofu and the kitchen is too busy to make exchanges. I would recommend the chef make the vegan options have (better) protein. chips are good and come with vegan mayo.

Not sure I want to attract more people to this gem by rating it 5 stars, but let’s be honest: there’s not a better spot for food/drink up here. Great value lunches with an Asian bent, $20 for ramen or rice bowl, $15 for plate of delicious fried chicken. Stylish decor, throw in a few $16 cocktails and you’ll not want to eat anywhere else (or ski afterwards). Walk ins for lunch only. From experience, you will wait after 1230 for a table. It’s worth it

Worth the wait! The staff is in a good mood, and smiling to you, even though the restaurant is packed on weekend, and you may have to wait up to an hour and half before getting a table, but it is worthy!

The food is excellent 👌 The dumplings are tender, melting on your tongue, the taste is fresh and delightful. As a french men I like my fries well cooked, and I must say these were the best I've had in a long time! They are crispy, well cooked, and taste great! Their wine is affordable and good choices, even though I was expecting a bit more fancier wine and mulled wine but that's OK.

Wait I also liked was the fact that we could buy beers for the staff, and I think they well deserve it! So free beers for you guys on me! Great concept!

The atmosphere is like a Japanese style restaurant view a nice view over the valley. Crowded and noisy but they have no choice due to the amount of people on the station.

Overall, I've had a blast ! Great job to the whole team.

I'll finish my note while finishing my book and my bottle of...

Had the unfortunate experience of dining here on a Saturday night. Service was pretty bad. Felt like we were inconveniencing the staff when asking for simple things like, 'where are we sitting', 'we're still waiting for rice 20min after our other food has arrived', etc.

Also, the restaurant was filthy. Food scraps and debris were clearly visible under a lot of tables. Staff made no effort to clean the floors. We had leftover karaage pieces and napkins under ours. Table was sticky and the kitchen, clearly visible from our table was also dirty.

Typical Hotham prices aside, the food was overpriced and underwhelming. The dinner share plates were tiny portions. Katsu curry was tasty but almost no veges in the sauce. $8 for a tiny single serving of rice. However, the short rib dish and cauliflower dish were probably the highlights.

The menu item begging to buy the staff beers also left a sour taste considering the snarky attitude we received.

I recommend going to Jack...

Food was generally great for ski resort standards; having said that, some items definitely better than others. Big positive was the tofu dish! Service seems to also normally be good but for some reason we didn't receive our drinks or first dish until 40 mins after ordering (ordered at 6.15), and then last dish for another 20 mins, all of which only came out once we reminded the wait staff. Other tables which were seated after us had food far earlier, so not a great experience service-wise. Maybe a lunch-booking or any quieter time would be better so as to avoid staff/kitchen mix-ups and appreciate...
