The food was great—my fries and Big Mac were excellent! However, the service was terrible. I stood at the counter to ask for the toilets to be unlocked, and three staff members walked past without even acknowledging me. I get that they’re busy, but where’s the “Hello, I’ll be with you in a moment”? There was literally nothing. I had to call out to the manager, Nicholas, who was prepping fries and bagging items. It felt like everyone had been trained to avoid eye contact with anyone waiting at the counter. When I finally got Nicholas’s attention by calling out, “Could I please get the toilet door unlocked?” he looked at me like I was asking to borrow his car—a look of disgust and annoyance.
After using the toilet, I went to order. I wasn’t ready to order at the counter yet, so I tried one of the self-serve touchscreen terminals. The first one, closest to the entry, didn’t respond to my touch. The second one was painfully slow, and of course, it wouldn’t print a receipt for my order (I needed it because I’m on a business trip). The terminal kept asking if I wanted a receipt; I kept clicking “yes,” but eventually it froze—no receipt, no order number, no option for table delivery. I could see on my phone that the money had been paid to McDonald’s, though. So, I approached the counter again—ignored by the young woman making drinks, ignored by the young man on drive-thru who walked past me at least three times, and Nicholas, the manager, still prepping fries, trying ever so hard to avoid looking in the direction of the counter. I called out again, “Sorry, I just need the receipt.” This time, Nicholas looked at me like I was asking him to donate a kidney—he appeared so upset that he had to speak to me again.
Finally, my meal arrived. I’m a big fan of 90s nostalgia, so I also purchased the throwback McDonald’s bucket hat. Thankfully, Nicholas remembered to add it to my order, but oddly, he thought it was appropriate to literally throw it on the counter instead of handing it to me or placing it next to my meal. My biggest concern is that if this is how leadership acts, they’re showing the rest of the crew it’s okay to treat customers like they’re not worthy of respect, time, or—God forbid—a positive experience. I hope this was an isolated event. Nicholas, if you’re reading this, I hope you have a McGreat day.
The tables were dirty, with no clean places to sit—I had to clean my own table. The toilets, at least, were clean. There was...
Read moreWhen visiting this store on a rather regular basis, we have had nothing but excellent service from those working in drive through! Being regular customers, we have become friendly with the staff and seen that they put in a lot of work hours to keep this store running. As for the 24 hour opening times which one review states, yea it’s a little frustrating however every computer system needs an update every 24 hours and this store does this around 1am… so if you’re coming to grab makkas, it’s advisable to visit before or an hour after this time. It’s not the fault of the team members! These very hard working employees are on minimum wage and work a lot more than most other industries, so a little patience - although this can be inconvenient at times, I’m sure would be an encouragement to their staff, especially overnight staff as there’s only three staff on! My only criticisms are; Sometimes the burgers are roughly put together (as at any McDonald’s being off centre) and handling them is difficult. And, being a parent of an employee (all my kids got their first jobs at makkas), the set hours start to finish times, can go over the persons time to clock out! Being a mum or dad etc waiting to collect their kids ON TIME can be so frustrating! Especially having to wait around… 1/2 hour to an hour sitting in the car… normally every workplace has a 10 min window after their end time to clock off but this comes down to management. But overall, the service we’ve received especially from certain workers. Happy to have this as...
Read moreI am absolutely appalled by the lack of respect and pathetic customer service by a male worker and the manager himself.. I ordered 3 x 6 nugget happy meals through the drive through.. and received 3x 3 nugget happy meals that looked like dried up cold nuggets that were freeze dried. We returned to this dispacable excuse of a family "resturaunt" to try and fix the order and we were greeted with disrespect mumbling under their breath arguing that all the nuggets look like that and that we still need to pay the difference between what we paid and the actual order we had originally said and had repeated. Once a again we returned home to see the nuggets exactly the same only just warm, the chips were oily and overcooked. I rarly buy McDonalds for my kids but I did as a special treat only to be treated with disrespect. The bloke that was on counter service was rude and argumentative and implied that I had no idea what I was talking about and he was having a temper tantrum and mumbling to the manager with his back turned... the manger him self was severely lacking in customer service.. there was no apology and he insisted on us paying the difference from their stuff up. Absolutely appalled worst MacDonald ever.. I wonder if the owner knows why this business has so many bad reviews. I wouldn't even put one star... I had to to make...
