First time I visited I had a great experience. Today I went again and put a larger order. Initially the machine I was being shown by one of the staff wasn't working we tried the codes. Didn't work. So the manger tall with long hair took over. In a hurry understandable. We went through order and I said seems more expensive she said because code didn't work. So I paid and stood aside and checked receipt again which found extra stuff so I told another staff and she organized a refund. But only one refund was made so I told her. She said manager will be with u. The manager came chucked the money on the drink holder and said we went through order together in a loud voice and walked off. I stood there in disbelief thinking did tht really jist happened and even a couple of other men said wow tht was uncalled for. I asked for her again she came back and I said to her how dare you speak like tht again she walked off. If you gona speak like that you should be able to communicate well and rectify the issue. Totally understand ur busy and I don't deserve to be humiliated like that. Ur own staff told u the machine wasn't working. This was the first time I used this phone app. It is embarrassing and how you handled yourself was disturbing. I don't care about the refund but ur behaviour was unacceptable. And to think how do you deal with our kids? I am disgusted that a person like u is a manager. The other two young ladies of your staff where so much respectful I actually feel sorry for them having to work for you. She wouldn't give her name to make a complaint. Not the money that is not the issue don't take it out on customers because u can't handle ur job. And if you gona speak in tht manner well be ready because people will not tolerate this behaviour. And I have made an official complaint because it is unacceptable if u behave like this because of a $6 refund seriously you are definitely in the wrong job. As to the other young ladies thank you for being kind and understanding. I went home shaking to think I just experienced this. I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience tonight 11:12pm at McDonald’s in Wallan. I ordered a Big Mac large meal with water for a drink and three grilled chicken patties. Instead, I received a Coke and a bottle of water—which I didn’t ask for. I assumed maybe I was charged for the water, so I didn’t complain.
When they handed me the food, they said “Big Mac and everything,” and I asked, “Is it grilled chicken patties?” They said yes, but I decided to double-check. It turned out to be three crispy patties, not grilled. I pointed it out, and they said I’d have to wait 7 minutes for the grilled ones. I agreed.
However, I ended up waiting about 20 minutes, and my daughter had already finished her burger by the time the food arrived. When the manager finally brought the grilled patties, she walked away immediately, and as I asked, “Are they grilled?” she just replied “Yes” without turning around or even checking if I was happy with the order—extremely disrespectful and unprofessional behavior.
When I checked, I found that there were only two grilled patties, not three. After waiting all that time, I still didn’t get what I ordered. I had to go through the drive-thru again just to get the third patty. A team member acknowledged the mistake and was happy to provide it, and I appreciated his professionalism.
But when I reached the next window, the same rude manager appeared and told me, “You didn’t pay for it,” in a very hostile tone, despite the fact that it was their mistake. When I calmly told her how disrespectful and unhelpful she was earlier, she just shut the window on me after saying “Have a good night.”
This manager clearly lacks basic manners, customer service skills, and professionalism. She is not suited to manage a busy location like McDonald’s Wallan. My food was cold and overcooked, and the entire experience was unacceptable.
A final note: This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced poor attitude at this location. After reading the reviews, I now understand why staff sometimes walk around offering free ice cream in exchange for reviews. It seems more like damage control than genuine care for customer experience.

Watched 4 cars that arrived after me in the double drive thru get in front and get their food before I was even served as car in front took a while!
Confirmed my Online order at speaker box and drove through collecting my receipt.
Received order and our 2 x custom burgers were not even close to the way we wanted.
Went inside to discuss. Passed over receipt and after struggling to get any form of customer service from the 'Shift Manager', 5 minutes later she just hands me 'our order' for the 2nd time.
Checked before I left as they can not be trusted and of course, wrong again! This time only 1 burger and nuggets etc?
Asked how/why they gave me this? Response: "That's what it said on the receipt you gave me."
Once we established it was their staff member who gave me the incorrect receipt through drive thru, after a little more sass from the shift manager I asked if I could be refunded as this is now beyond a joke, the 2nd order is also incorrect and it had been 15-20 min, taking the 'fast' out of 'fast food'. Her response: "its not always fast sir!!", No response to the refund!
Couldn't locate our actual receipt so she had to take my Wife's phone to take the order from, which was very unhygienic as she did not change her gloves before or after handling my wife's phone through the kitchen during a global pandemic. I hope for everyone's sake in Wallan that my wife doesn't start showing symptoms.
After just short of 30 min we finally got to pick up our Online order. Ironically after this whole debacle I barely ate anything as frustration is a big meal suppressant.
Didn't think it could get any worse as the last 2 times we have been there they have not provided us with the additional patty's we purchased to our burgers, hence why I always check now, but McDonalds Wallan you have proved me wrong!!
Clearly I wouldn't recommend!
