Mondegreen Cafe is a delight in Ballarat. Great location with plenty of parking. Only a short distance from the beautiful Lake Wendouree. Small menu but very generous serving sizes. Coffee is perfect! Some of the best in Ballarat. Local Hepburn fruit juices as well. You can even enjoy a glass of wine! And the Mondegreen pictures on the walls (misheard song lyrics) is a cool and entertaining touch! Outside setting as well. Inside has a fire place for the cooler Ballarat days. Unfortunately we were unable to rate the food as the staff member rudely shut the door in our faces when we asked if there was a table available. Understand we hadn’t made a booking and it was busy inside however there is a way to communicate this respectfully to potential customers even a suggestion of sitting outside and putting the tables together as the tables were vacant. Hot chocolate this is actually hot and tastes like chocolate. Amazing.

Has the best baked cheesecake in Ballarat.

Friendly staff. Chef/owner lady seemed a little grumpy and annoyed at first but also went around asking people if the food was alright. Chill lady. You’re doing good.
