Bowser Bean Ballarat — Restaurant in Victoria

I didn't know if it was management, team members or training when I first walked in, but this place was useless to walk into. Drinks I wanted weren't available and I mean 3 choices not available in the fridges. Coffee seems impossible to recieve (my final thought to order) with others waiting 40 minutes or more. So I gave up on that. Note I had gone in around 4pm on a Tuesday. I overheard team members mention that the manager was just sitting on her phone in the back when it wasn't her break time. Is this what showing responsibility to your workers is like now? You sit on your phone while they work to just barely keep up. It explained the over flowing bins and what looked like bugs around the shelving... the poor workers had not time to really get other tasks done. Was management not willing to get extra people in? Definitely going to stick to going to the Apco...

I regularly visit Bowser Bean in Ballarat North not for the fuel, but for the lovely staff and coffee! For a roadhouse style cafe, the coffee quality is unbelievable. Reading these reviews, I can certainly agree that there has been a high turn-over rate, but from what I can tell it is definitely for the better. The staff are lovely, maybe a little awkward sometimes, and are always accomodating. The food options have been limited from what they used to be but what they still have is really good (I hope they bring back the rolls one day though!). Overall, I think they have done really to get their footing back and I will continue...

The manager is extremely rude all the time and always shouting and swearing at staff, very unprofessional, I'm surprised the business allows the behaviour to go on. Theres never any stock there anymore amd the staff seem unhappy with their work environment not to mentionthe staff turnover has become a big issue now. It never used to be this way. Its a shame to see...
