I visited the Bakery last week and found the staff to be friendly and the bakery itself to be spacious and comfortable. There appeared to be a good range of food including pies / sausage roles, bread and slices.

My trip would not normally have taken me through Ouyen however I choose to go this way because some 10 years ago I had been to the bakery and had fond memories of the vanilla slice I had eaten there (after all back then Ouyen was the vanilla slice competition capital of Australia!).

Unfortunately on this occasion the vanilla slice left much to be desired with the filling being both watery in flavor and too firm and the pastry being firm and dare I say it seemingly not very fresh. It seems that in giving up the vanilla slice competition Ouyen has also given up on making fantastic vanilla slice's.

To be fair I cannot comment on the other food available as I did not try it and I can only hope that the rest of what they have to offer is much better than the vanilla slice which I could not bring...

The new owners aren't good. 45 minutes to get our food and when we did we got the food and drinks there were in take away containers even though we were eating in and wasnt given any cutlery to eat with. Two orders were forgotten and when we got them the staff that gave us the food she placed them on the other end on the table and rudely said "Enjoy" and stormed off, not even an apology for the long wait with our food. People came in after us and they got served first. They even got their food on plates. I honestly feel sorry for the staff that work under them. If i could put zero stars i would. I DO NOT recommend

Edit: Tthey also forgot to write our order down, when we asked where it is and why it was forgotten they tried to blame it on us.

If you think i'm being tough, think about. This is MINE AND MY FAMILY expericance. We aren't quiet about things and...

Probably give this place a wide birth if your after some reasonable service with a smile.

Attended this business 15 to 20 minutes before a temporary early closure time due to hot weather, after 7 hours traveling only to be told the kitchen was closed and only could help with food in the bain-marie some pies and fried goodness possibly been there for quite a while.

There were some Focaccia,s freshly made this morning but the unfortunately the Sandwich Press has been switched off. I would have thought if you close at 2 you would then serve you valuable customers till 2 and not shun them for choosing to support your business, our visit to your business was made hard, awkward and uninviting unfortunately. I wish you the best in business but I'd say some changes may...

Excellent bakery.wide range of products on offer ranging from slices and cakes, sandwiches and rolls as well as a few different pies, sausage rolls and pasties. Some bread, rolls and sweet items available on a shelf when walking in as well as one next to it for cheaper items from the day before which was empty when I went Friendly service when I went. The food I had was excellent (crispy pastry on the pies and sausage roll). The coffee, I found was very good (to my liking and not bitter). Not the cheapest but well worth the money spent. Seating available inside and outside. Reasonably popular. Will stop again when in the area. Definitely worth the stop and visit.

Our new favourite country bakery - great coffee, delicious freshly cooked chicken burger (that I was tempted to ask for the recipe for 😅), + best pies and slices we’ve had during our 4 weeks on the road. Such a friendly and welcoming little spot and clearly a favourite among locals - well worth turning off the hwy for!! **Husband would like me to reiterate that slices were a real highlight, so good we had to order extra for the road 9 year old said they are the best party pies he’s ever had 11 year old loved how quickly she received the food and the caramel slice **

Absolutely amazing food! My Mum and I had a cheese and bacon pie and my Dad had the chunky stake and pepper and these were the best pies we’ve had in a long time. Crispy tops and chunky centres 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻😋 Also, by far the best coffees we’ve had outside of Melbourne in a long long time. I had an iced latte and I swear I could’ve brought three more because it’s the best iced latte I’ve ever had. The apple turn over, lamington and apple slice 🥰 amazing The girls that work here are lovely as well and so very friendly. Thank you for the amazing experience xx
