My wife and I recently stopped in for brunch. I ordered poached eggs and bacon on gluten-free bread, while my wife chose a pizza. When I looked over the menu, I noticed no clear indications for gluten- or dairy-free options, which made things a bit tricky as someone with dietary needs.

Thankfully, when we asked, the chef was very helpful and accommodating, which I appreciated. That’s why I settled on the eggs, there just weren’t many other suitable choices available. One egg was cooked perfectly, the other was unfortunately overdone. The bacon could’ve used more time on the grill, and only one side of the gluten-free bread was toasted.

The table we sat at was a bit sticky and slightly wobbly, which made eating less comfortable. My wife’s pizza was topped with a heavy amount of cheese, so much so that the oil was running off the top. The base tasted like it may have been pre-made, though we can’t be sure.

There were some positives, especially the chef’s willingness to assist, but a few things left us feeling a bit...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What can I say about this place? It’s my first time visiting this cafe for breakfast. The service is amazing, family vibes, excellent customer service and the most welcoming and friendliest of atmospheres!!!

If you are coming to Phillip Island and want the best coffee and delicious meals! You must come to Penny Lane Island Cafe.

My order was complicated , but they nailed it. My girlfriend has allergies and dietary requirements and they nailed her order perfectly just like mine.

Upon entering - Wayne welcomed us and made amazing coffees as well as letting us know that the chef(Lee) can tailor make our meals to suit our dietary requirements.

Young Brock took our order with ease, a smile and was happy to help.

Friendly chat and banter with the 3 gentlemen made our experience 5/5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food is fabulous! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

I give this place 5 stars! Will definitely come back...

We had a delightful experience at Penny Lane Cafe on Philip Island. Amidst the rush of booking a cruise, we opted for a quick lunch, and the cafe delivered just that—prompt service without compromising on taste.

We ordered Battered Flathead Tails, Grilled Barramundi, and Chicken Alfredo Linguini. To our delight, each dish was not only served swiftly but also proved to be delicious, showcasing the cafe's commitment to both speed and quality.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, adding a welcoming touch to our visit. Their efficient service made our time constraints manageable, and we left satisfied with both the food and the overall dining experience. We look forward to returning to Penny Lane Cafe on Philip Island, and I've already recommended it to friends for their...

Penny Lane Island Cafe is conveniently located at the business end of Cowes on Phillip Island. This was my first visit and ordered an espresso and the Brekkie burger on Turkish roll. I was impressed with the food quality and speed of service. The food was fresh , well cooked and presented. The smashed avo on Persian fetta and bacon was also equally exquisite. I'm very much looking forward to trying their brunch and lunch menu options in the future. Plenty of seating available inside and a pleasant alfresco area as well. Parking is not a problem as there is a large car park area nearby. Highly recommend
