Soldiers Woodfired Pizzeria Ballarat — Restaurant in Victoria

We are spoilt to have a special little pizzeria in our local area. It is like it has been transported from a movie set, but actually serving great pizza.

We have had takeaway pizza from here a few times, picking it up from the little window in the side of the building. It has been amazing pizza.

The base being authentically thin, crust fluffy with an enjoyable slightly chewiness crispness.

You can tell they have really worked on bringing the flavours together using high quality ingredients and a wood fired oven. Normally, I do not enjoy an hawaiian pizza, due to low quality ham used, but this pizzeria uses high quality thinly folded ham (similar to prosciutto) on my son's pizza. I will be eating hawaiian from here in the future.

The other pizzas are just as good. Margherita full of flavour, New Yorker with the hint of chilli hits the spot, and their banana/caramel/custard pizza is a wonderful way to finish.

The customer service is friendly and welcoming without being overbearing.

I would love for them to introduce homemade pasta. As, if they did it as well as they do pizza my mouth is watering.

Would love to share my experience with this amazing place honestly the staff went above and beyond they were so welcoming and friendly My daughter has ASD ( I kindly told them she needed a quiet area as she gets overwhelmed with noise they were so helpful my daughter didn’t even have any anxiety no meltdown the place was just honestly amazing

Now let’s get to the food …….. The benson omg it’s just amazing in every way possible if ur a huge meat lover of salami.

The garlic prawns pizza was just the best and they put decent amounts of toppings on it so u can taste the flavour honestly truly amazing

Kids pizza - surfs up Little girl recommends this to any kids who love pizza

Starters Garlic cheese loaf - perfect starter for any one the cheese was just amazing and don’t get me started on how much garlic it was just like heaven in my mouth

Pear - & goat cheese salad - absolutely delicious my daughter loved it

Dessert- Caramel bannana pizza That won every one over for the night honestly YUm Yum Yum and more YUM

By far one of the best dining experience we have had in Ballarat.

We were looked after from the moment we walked in, despite there being a table of 30 and nearly all other tables booked.

Pencils and colouring pages for our 3 yr old meant she was occupied while we waited the very short wait for dinner.

We ordered the 9in margarita and the garlic prawn loaf to come out first. Both absolutely phenomenal.

Then we had 2 11in pizzas - Capricciosa and the Benson. We took nearly a full pizza home for leftovers and it was great plan. You will be wanting more !

Desert pizza was delish, and the sorbet was too.
