Chicken schnitzel was delicious! Went for dinner and drinks to celebrate our anniversary and the food was awesome. We had the chips, cheese and gravy and the gravy was some kind of magic. Then we followed up with a chicken schnitzel and steak. The schnitzel chicken was legit super tender and the steak was lovely. Also, nice to have a decent serving of veges for each main meal that were cooked really nicely too. (Wish I’d taken photos of my food to post here!) Had cider and wines all night while listening to live music and the atmosphere was really nice. It’s one of the rare spots in Ballarat open a little later on a Sunday and it has heaps of space both inside and out, as well as plenty of parking. Read moreThursday is steak night... nice ! The steak was a nice thick 250g Porterhouse, cooked beautifully medium rare as asked. It had a nice crust with a smokey char flavor. I ordered it with the garlic sauce, which came in a small jug and was quite nice. The chips were plentiful and lovely and crunchy and again cooked well, seasoned with sea salt. The salad consisted of various leaves of lettuce and baby spinach, finely julienned carrot, red oinion, tomato, red capsicum and cucumber all dressed in a sweet and slightly tangy mustard seed dressing which went well with my steak.
Presentation was very good, on both plates.
My wife ordered the vegetables with her steak with a mushroom gravy which she also thoughly enjoyed and were cooked well.
All in all a good solid meal and value.

Both Steaks were cooked perfectly and loved the choices of sauces & gravies (plain, mushroom, pepper, diane or creamy garlic) are included in the price. We were also impressed the gravy was served separately in a gravy boat and not poured all over the steak.
My friend was so happy the mushroom gravy was chockas with mushrooms, no skimping!
There is off street car parking too.
