We visited here again last night. (3/8/24).
We are pleased to share our experience again. Everything is still great here. Our steaks were delicious! Juicey and perfectly cooked. Very friendly staff.
We only had one "complaint", if it could be called that,... they didn't have the red velvet cake this time. Oh no. We were devastated.! Never mind, the warm chocolate brownie and Ferrero flavoured cheesecake desserts made up for it. We really liked our experience here.
Very friendly greetings, clean, tidy, bright and comfortable seating.
We started with the cheesy, bacon and garlic bread for starters. Yummy.
Then we had the Chicken and Mushroom Scallopini and also the Creamy Garlic Prawns.
The Chicken and Mushroom Scallopini was awesome delicious. Served with bright green steamed broccolini on a bed of mash. Yummy.
Unfortunately, on this occasion, in our opinion, the garlic and seasoning seemed a little bit underdone with the Creamy Garlic Prawns dish. The prawns were very yummy, delicious and fresh. But the creamy sauce was a little bit under seasoned and didn't seem to have any garlic ... but that may be because we are accustomed to a good strong garlic kick when we order it.
We also tried the Red Velvet cake. Wow. Wow. We ordered one serve to share between the two of us. I can honestly say that we still regret to this moment that we didn't order two serves! Really!
We really liked our experience here, and we intend to return again, regularly.
We highly recommend visiting here, especially during a lunch...
Read moreGreat pub with an open court yard for lunch. This is redemption given our first experience here was not great, we were turned away for being a large group with no booking and they were short staffed. The booking process was difficult, when we called to make the booking, the person didn't want to take the booking and advise to come in, when we came to the venue we were told they couldn't seat us as they had no large tables. We tried comprising and said we'll sit outside in the courtyard, but it was still a no and the alternative provided was to go to another nearby pub
This time, ee were able to order from both the Bistro and sports bar menu as an option for sitting outside as they couldn't accommodate us inside
The venue is clean and very inviting. Outside, the staff were generous and tentative to providing water to the doggos, joining people for lunch
Inside, it's nice, spacious, and air-conditioned. It is easily accessible from the side street and an extensive delicious menu
We had a lovely lunch, minus the screeching uncontrolled children that echoed through the walls into the courtyard, but that is not the venue or the staff's fault. The meals were delicious and of very filling and decent servings.
The staff were lovely both over the counter, wait staff and staff...
Read moreAfter a thrilling and exhausting 4-hour hike at Werribee Gorge, I stumbled upon Stoney's Club, a cozy pub. Hungry and craving something delicious, I decided to give their cauliflower pakoda a try. Little did I know that this would turn out to be the perfect post-hike treat!
The golden-brown pakodas were lightly crispy on the outside and had just the right amount of crunch. The chef had clearly mastered the art of seasoning, as the pakodas were perfectly seasoned without being overpowering.
To enhance the culinary experience, Stoney's served the pakodas with a mouthwatering dipping sauce. I believe it's a tangy tamarind chutney. As the menu, doesn't say what sauce it is. It just says "Pakoda sauce". The combination of the crispy pakodas with the flavorful sauce elevated the dish to new heights.
Apart from the outstanding taste and texture, the portion size was generous. Whether you're a vegetarian or simply looking for a delightful appetizer, I highly recommend trying this dish. So, if you find yourself at Werribee Gorge, make sure to visit Stoney's (12kms away) and treat yourself to the cauliflower pakoda. It will be a rewarding experience you won't...
