Subway — Restaurant in Victoria

Terrible place. Decided to stop here for lunch. Only one woman behind the counter which was fine as it didn’t look busy.

My friend and I ordered a 2 x 6inch BMT’s. She ( the server) asked “is that with bacon?” Ah no it’s the one with 2 types of salami and ham. Then she sees it on the makers card on the bench. That’s fine at first I thought I might have said BLT or figured she’s new.

After choosing cheese she moved onto salads missing the “do you want it toasted” part. Just as she started loading the lettuce and tomato my friend realised and reminded me and I said oh toasted please sorry!! I wasn’t upset as I just figured she was new and was learning.

What annoyed me was she had already put lettuce and tomato on the sub and threw those toppings back into the tubs.

The salads should have been thrown out. The lettuce and tomato had been handled and touched meat. Not great. She then toasted it.

At this point she looked like she was getting all huffy that how dare we point out a mistake and make her toast it.

So we move on to the next thing where I asked for pickles and she put jalapeños on it!!!! I said whoops pickles please not jalapeños. So she chucks those back into the tub as well. 😳😳

Talk about cross contamination.

Then we get to sauce and salt which seems to be the only thing she was capable of doing right.

And let’s not discuss the wrap up! My sub was all over the place.

I don’t believe in being rude to shop staff but seriously could have ripped strips off this woman.

Rude rude rude. Didn’t seem to know what she was doing. Didn’t seem to understand basic food cross contamination rules.

We remained polite with lots of thank yous.

Not that our thanks were reciprocated.

Won’t be back. Hopefully they get a new manager soon (advertising for one on the window) and this chick gets...

Absolutely disgusting service, the young man that served us, completely ignored me when I said “hey how you going”, kept doing what he was doing, then when he finally decided to serve me, he was extremely rude slamming the bread on the bench, saying “what do want” in a very rude tone.. thought I would give him the benefit of the doubt and say to him, “you seem like you have a lot on your mind, are you ok”, in a very kind voice. He then proceeded to tell me he was sick of serving customers as he had a lot to do. Still slamming things around and sighing constantly. I asked for a large salad I didn’t even get a small, it’s half empty, I had to tell him to warm the chicken as he just threw in cold chicken, also had to tell him to put 2 lots of chicken in as I had asked for a large. Then 2 more people walked in and he threw his arms in the air and grunted, because he had more customers to serve. I honestly left there in shock, I have never had service so bad. I have a daughter the same age, she works in retail, she would never treat ...

Mate I don’t even think it deserves 1 start ridiculous the staff that was working need some proper training 3 staff on duty but only 1 serving while the others was doing who knows what. Took me and my mate almost 30 minutes to get our food when we was the only customers in store, yes it was a hot day but seems the store was air-conditioned but stuff seemed to be mopping around and looked like they didn’t want to be there. I was on smoko two so boss wasn’t happy when it took me 30 minutes to get food for a 15 minute smoko bloody ridiculous. Think you guys need some older mangers who will show these teenagers some...
