just Visited this place on a Saturday, Where I am originally from Melbourne. with Family. Not that busy during the time @ 03.30 pm.
Ordered Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Biryani, Roti, And Mango lassi.
Bill Came to me 96 $
I am specifying the total amount because I felt is worth paying only to Roti What I ordered, the roti was very nicely done and served in two intervals during my dine-in.
The rest Tandoori Chicken - was done previously and heated up and served.
Chicken Tikka masala - Like a Kadai Chicken with a Semi gravy texture with onion paste and green peppers.
No one attended to us after I gave the order- I got the cutleries from another table after Tandoori Chicken was served to my table. Mango Lassi I was asking one of the people who roam around there.
Chicken Biryani- come on Chef - I know you are making it as the order comes to you - But there is no flavor in it.
I am also a chef, Never had an experience like this. Metropolitan Melbourne restaurants' price point and quality are way higher than what I had experienced in Ballarat.
There are so many who want to run a good business in terms of service and food quality, but they don't have the opportunity. you have a place to conquer people's hearts by feeding them. With the quality of what you are having- You are disappointed. Sorry to...
Read moreWent to the restaurant last week. I was travelling past Ballarat and decided to eat here. Waited 1:30 hour for the restaurant to open. They opened at 11 am and I called them to make booking and they said that tandoor will take about 30-40 mins to heat up (well! I thought If they open at 11, they should be ready to serve). Anyhow!! I didn’t have much option so I waited with my family. We were the only customers in the restaurant. Ordered the food and decided to order the paneer pakoras as the picture there was very tempting with the paneer stuffed with mint chutney. However we got served thin slices of paneer coated with the batter and fried. When I asked the owner that do you stuff the chutney in the pakora, he replied- this is what it is!! I said the picture is different and is deceiving He didn’t even bother talking and walked off by saying this is what it is and if you think it’s deceiving so be it!! I mean how rude. Zero marks for the customer service. If we had other option available we would’ve walked out of the restaurant. Wouldn’t want to go to this...
Read moreMy partner and I are currently touring around Victoria and decided to get some Indian last night as a bit of a change from the bbq food we’ve been living off. I had the garlic butter chicken which was mouth watering, absolutely delicious! My partner had the seafood vindaloo which was also sensational! We were in love with the food and was hoping to grab an authentic Indian dessert to try to finish it all off but we waited and waited and we never got served. It looked as though there was only a couple of people working at the time, not staffed enough for the 4-5 tables that were filled whilst we were there which was upsetting and it also felt like the orders on the phone were more of a priority than the customers which were actually there. Both our table and another table weren’t cleared from our main course in a good 20-30mins we remained sitting there. It was upsetting as the food was delicious but the service...
