The Duck Inn Cafe — Restaurant in Victoria

First visit to this cafe and would love to leave a review of constructive criticism. As a customer walking into the cafe you see all the organic health foods, eco and non toxic things for sale- so I would assume many health conscious individuals would walk in to order- which is why I was very surprised at some of the ingredients that came out. smoothie menu looked very appealing but upon receiving my avocado/ spinach/ginger smoothie it was unfortunately not very palatable as all I could taste was sweet shelf apple juice (not listed in ingredients list). Should be able to taste the ginger if anything. Was more expecting the ingredients listed and a coconut water base. Waddle out breakfast- at $34 please put a bit more green on the plate, or even some home made baked beans. Didn’t see the price to quality value there at all. avocado seemed like it was maybe a pre prepared or pre packaged version. Would love to see some fresh avocado on the plate which is cheap and in season. kids toast- instead of Nutalex and pre packaged Bega peanut butter would love to see real butter and a scoop of some sort of real/ quality peanut butter rather than kids options full of preservatives and fillers. Would be great to have a kids breakfast option like toast, egg and a 1/4 wedge of real avocado. Staff were great and very friendly. Turned off the highway for a light lunch, and after walking the Main Street were delighted here…..good coffees, and burger with chips special and ham cheese and tomato toastie …..and chilled water were fully as what one would expect in a cafe…all reasonably priced and fresh….friendly staff and enjoyed what is clearly a RELAXING watering hole for locals…and for watching the locals….☺️worth turning off the highway for: so much more pleasant than highway stops. Had a chill out here between Osteopath and Medical appointments today. Nice soy flat white and a vegetarian toastie (yummy & healthy) with a perfect toasted look. They also stock a good selection of health & wellbeing products too! Good to see in a small rural town. I’m always on the lookout for heathy food options and in general all health & wellbeing products. It makes all the difference to one’s mind, body & soul ⭐️🔥 friendly smiling service is also gifted here! Well done to the team!...
