Warragul Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Victoria

Our special night-out Restaurant! We love to bring our own bottle of red sparkling and order our regular entrees (never seem to be swayed from the Satay Chicken Skewers and the Goong Hom Pha (prawns wrapped in spring roll pastry). My entree always seems bigger and lasts longer than my good husbands prawns and get shared in the end .... does this sound familliar? The choice of mains is extensive and delicious. For me it's easy as I just love Chicken curry, red, yellow or green - the variations are all delicious. MGH is always a bit more adventurous and it usually pays off and as we share our meals we get a bit of both - the sedate and the 'wild'. The take-away line here seems never-ending, so word is out in Warragul that this Restaurant is the place for the best Thai food...

We dined in Friday night for my birthday... first, they couldn't find the booking, the person who took the booking put it under the wrong name, but he got my ph number right... then we were seated... we then sat there for over half an hour before anyone even took a drink order, and this was only because we called them over... (mind you, we watched another couple be seated, served and receive their drinks and entree before this!) We were very close to walking out... it's extremely frustrating to not be served while watching staff chatting behind the bar... our entrees finally arrived, but our drinks were still MIA... again, we had to call someone over and ask if we could have them... the service was very lack lustre, thankfully, the food was good... but we won't be...

I don't know what crack everyone else is smoking, but this place is perfect for anyone allergic to flavour. Our fried rice was mush and my 5 year old son was begging for salt at the very least. Tom yum soup was super sweet. Pad see ew just tasted like boiled nothing. I didn't want to stereotype when I didn't see a Thai passing person in sight, but boy I should have. Wait staff were lovely and quick. And so they should be too though considering the food was cooked with zero care. I have never been so passionate in my reviews but Jesus it was a terrible experience. This must be catering to the retirees in the area and their false teeth or something. Or people that have never left Warragul....
