McDonalds Wanneroo has only ever had a 50% strike rate of getting my order correct, which in itself should be called out, but my experience today tipped me over the line to call them out.
I arrived at the drive through to be greeted with the usual muffled “greeting” followed by “are you using the Maccas app today?” To which I replied yes and offered my code. The server then repeated my code to me, which I confirmed was correct, and then told me that he couldn’t activate it, and I’d have to proceed to the last window. So I drove away from the ordering speaker and around the corner to find 4 cars in front of me in the queue. When I finally got to the window I was offered the eftpos machine to pay, which was strange seeing as I hadn’t ordered anything yet. Upon enlightening the guy, he proceeded to take my order without punching it into the computer or writing it down and then walked off to another computer to put it through, before returning to tell me “you can’t order a triple cheeseburger” to which I replied, “oh I get it almost everytime, you have to put it through as a double cheeseburger, add a patty and cheese”. Not convinced he walked off to get another member of staff to ask, before putting it through the computer. He then returned to make me pay, which I did, and then was instructed to park up. 12 minutes later the guy appears from the store with a bag of food and a single drink. (I had ordered 2 large meals, amongst other things). When questioned he said “oh you asked for a meal, just go through the drive through and I’ll put it through”. Not a chance I thought to myself and reversed straight back into the drive through lane and parked at the window. After closer inspection of the bag, the chips were missing too, so I alerted the man to this fact once I was at the window, who then proceeded to charge me for the coffee that he missed. After another couple of minutes, he returned with the coffee and no chips, when questioned he said that he hadn’t charged me for chips so I would have to pay for them. This was the final straw for me, as not only had he taken my order wrong, he was now making me pay extra to correct his mistake as the cost of the items in the value meal is greater than the cost of the meal complete. Came back here weeks ago, and had a terrible experience . Ordered fries and have to wait for 14mins . Nobody was at the counter , there was 1 counter staff a young lady who was not helping her manager who was stucked in the drive through . I approached the manager and asked for my order. Finally the counter staff went back from the office ( this young girl wnet back and fort more than 3 times and i can hear the manager keep calling her from the back) and finally helped out. However i was served with shit fries and that fries was the one i saw sitring at the hopper for more than 10 mins. The over all experience was revolting. I end up waited another 4 mins for fresh once. Placed an online complaint. Guess what i received an email asking me on how was my feedback on how the store handled my complaint where i did not receuved any call or email, definitely they just closed the case. Well that says it all! The staff behaved as lazy as the management team. I guess the management here needs some sort of training on managing team member, recruitment and handling customer feedbacks.
I feel for the manager on duty as she was dojng her best to serve her customers. The Franchisee should look into this , do not hire useless team member as simple as that.
