Cafe Elixir — Restaurant in Western Australia

From start to finish....absolutely flawless! Our first visit after seeing and hearing great things, very kind waitresses Seated us and provided us with bottles water and offered colouring in books and pencils for our 2 young children. The lovely lady at the till who took our order was above and beyond helpful and accommodating to my wifes particular dietary needs and modified one of their signature pancakes to suit her with ease and no restriction. Most Perth restaurants refuse to modify menu items. Absolute great vibes and service. Even offering to blend their staple menu ice coffee into a frappe for me. We also couldn't believe how promptly the food came out despite the restaurant being nearly full! Every plate that came out of the kitchen was perfect presentation and we couldn't believe the portion sizes were so huge! My wife could barely finish thr delicious huge twin pancake pile! The toffee caramel sauce is next level!!! In a sea of sub par over priced Perth brekky restaurants that give zero service and or connection with customers and make you coldly order from a barcode, THIS restaurant has set the bar high and was nothing short of Amazing!!!! We will definitely be back soon with friends and family! Thanks Elixir cafe crew for a perfect pre Mothersday...

The food at this café is fantastic, and the café itself is great! However, I won’t be returning.

Last time, I had breakfast at an outdoor table, specifically one downwind. Every time the door opened, a strong smell from the restroom wafted out and mixed with the food and café aroma. Can you imagine that? It felt like eating in a restroom. For a weekend breakfast, this was an extremely unpleasant experience.

This morning, my family and I decided to give it another try. The outdoor area was almost full, except for three tables in the same downwind spot. It’s clear no one wants to sit there unless they have no other choice. Inside, there were three empty tables for two, but what I couldn’t understand is why they couldn’t combine the tables to create a five-person setup! We didn’t mind waiting for a suitable table, so I sat with my daughter at the door, in a sheltered spot, to wait. However, within minutes, an older staff member repeatedly told us the wait would be very long. I explained that I didn’t want to sit outside where the wind was strong, but to no avail. Frustrated, we left and went somewhere else for breakfast.

The food may be amazing, but the dining experience and customer care need serious...

Great atmosphere, excellent service, outstanding food never have I ever been disappointed after a visit to Elixir, if your heading in for breakfast on the weekend make sure to book!

Update 2022 We rocked up this morning (without a booking) for my wifes birthday. Unfortunately when we arrived there were no seats inside so we sat outside but it was a bit too chilly so we decided to go somewhere else. Because the staff here are always so nice I popped in to let them know so they could grab the glasses. As we were walking back to our car the waiter called out from the restaurant letting us know a table had freed up, what service!

The table we got was wonky af I noticed the foot had come off just as I went to fix it the owner rocked up thanked us for coming back and jumped down to fix the table and level it out. Just a really great experience and wanted to share that the owner here is very involved and runs an amazing establishment and deserves your business.

The food this morning was A++ as per usual I enjoyed the big breakfast and my wife had the classic pancakes and could only finish (mostly) one. Sedulously this place is a community gem and if you haven't been you are missing out.
