My wife and I ordered a takeaway earlier this week after a very busy day, just too tired to prepare anything, it was the first one for a long time and well worth it!
We were regulars at the Foo Hua Chinese Restaurant in Wanneroo for many years, however it changed hands a few times and we thought the quality of the food was lost so we gave it a wide berth!
However this week we thought we would give the Foo Hua another go given it’s very good review ratings, and we were not disappointed what a revelation prices rises of course!
However that was reflected in the quality of the food provided and portion sizes, we ordered on line so easy, we were given a delivery time and it arrived early, piping hot, we gave the delivery Guy a tip to match his delivery fee, so everyone was happy!
Most importantly the food, was outstanding to say the least, we have had 3 meals out of our order, nothing extravagant, Curry Beef, Sweet and Sour Fried Chicken, sauce separate well done and last but not least, Combination Mee Goreng, we thought all was delicious and very reasonably priced!
We will doing it again soon, and enjoy our favourite lunch time specials, again very reasonably priced, take home what you can’t eat!
I would suggest you give it ago once again, I think you will not be dissatisfied, we have an Asian gem on our doorstep, enjoy...
Read moreThis was our first dining experience HERE as a family of four. There was definitely traffic of orders going out and people coming in for collection, this gave us confidence that the food is good.
We were given prawn chips as we sat down. We ordered the family of 4 pack (10 dishes). It was a bit of a wait, as expected. Our first dish were spring rolls, delicious. Our dishes #2-7 came awhile after. Our least fav dish from our menu was the combination fried rice. It tasted like it was warmed up from yesterday. The rest was yum! By then, we couldn't wait any longer for the last 2 dishes as we were full. My husband checked to ask if it was coming, and they forgot, which was sorted quickly. We asked if we could have it packed & bagged to take home. We came away with plenty of leftovers for next day lunches.
I recommend ordering online via their app or call in to order and pick up. Food was good, eating in at peak hour..not so good!
Con: Waiting time at peak hr wasn't fun. Having the news blasted outloud on projector was disturbing during dinner. Especially watching the bombing and war abroad while trying to connect and have a conversation...
Read moreAs others have noted, they’ve clearly had a change of chef to the huge detriment of things. We’ve used this place for years, but last two visits have been dreadful, which pains me as this place is a bit iconic in Wanneroo. This time, hardly any sauce with Sweet & Sour fish, so no flavour, & clumped rice. An absolute shocker. Last time was also grim & we put it down to an off-night, but noted the chef change. Sadly, nowhere near what has been offered - & expected - for years. This will damage the business for sure. I’d hate Wanneroo to lose an institution but this chef is appalling. Previously, it wasn’t the Asian female & was always perfect, now it’s not even worth giving a go. We have a big fundraiser event scheduled there soon, but I’ll be advising a re-think on the venue as everyone will surely be disappointed. I can’t eat there again until things change, &, sadly, neither should you. The server/order taker was lovely, the price is good, but recently the food is awful. Give it a miss & maybe they’ll change things to get back on track. I really hope they read this & take immediate positive action, I’ve loved this no frills place...
