Give this place a go!! You will be pleasantly surprised. I sure was. Last weekend, a friend's group of 12 booked this place for our monthly meet-up. I was so impressed. I had low expectations, but it was so good that my partner and I went back three days later. Their Turkish eggs are amazing! I had it both times. The eggs bennie is very good too. The portion was too big for my wife, so i got some. It's a bit noisy on the weekends as it gets packed and nothing really to dampen the sound, but it was perfect for an early 6am breakfast during the week

At the CCS, one can order any of the menu items and be treated to the beautifully presented, masterly crafted fare with consistently good coffee. What you cannot order is the personally curated MacGyver style ice pack by the chef owner after seeing me hobble in post surfing mishap. Hospitality can be a soul draining experience but finding the soul and passion here in both food and service by the new owners of CCS is a heartwarming belly burping experience. A guarantee of customer loyalty and longevity. šŸ™šŸ»šŸ™šŸ»šŸ™šŸ»

Food was amazing and very decent servings for the price. Always a good sign when you know you have to come back to try other dishes on the menu you couldn’t fit in on the first visit! We had the Eggs Benny, prawn omelette and the bill granger inspired fritters. All three meals were amazing. We also shared between 3 adults and a child and had leftovers to take home. Will absolutely be back to try the dishes we couldnt fit in on the first visit!

We ordered a classic benny with bacon, sausage and egg burger, medium flat white, strawberry thickshake, choc chip cookie and croissant. they gave us the croissant and choc chip cookie immediately as it was in the display case, and the drinks followed soon after. we were very pleased because we thought that, despite the very busy time (we ordered at 11:17am and all the seats indoor were full) we would be served at a reasonable time. however thirty minutes had passed and we went up to the counter to ask politely and the cashier went to check the dockets and they admitted they forgot the order and said it would be out in 7 minutes. we waited another 20 mins before we started getting more impatient and went to ask again. this time a barista talked to us as the cashier we talked to before was on break. she said that she cannot help us and we would have to talk to the chef because it was 'not her area'. we were annoyed because we had seen at least 5 orders of our EXACT MEALS (multiple bennys and one order of a burger) being served to customers who came later than us. we went to ask on last time at 12:03pm and right after that, did we receive our food. the food was yummy and well portioned so that was good. the sausage and egg burger was a highlight, however the total wait time of 45mins to an hour is totally unacceptable. please manage your time accordingly and provide your customers with better reassurance other than 'i dont know how long it'll be'. overall, their food is worth a try but their service and wait time is unreasonable, especially if you go...

I don't normally post reviews but feeling somewhat disappointed with my 'local' for coffee today. I was in there earlier and had my usual flat white and breakfast 'toastie'. Felt something hard in my mouth and rather than bite down on it carefully removed whatever it might be from my mouth. It was a piece of glass bout half an inch long and a quarter of an inch wide!! Very glass I had found it and not swallowed the same - not sure what damage it might have done on the journey through. I know others might have made a big fuss but I quietly let the owner know what I had found. He looked appropriately concerned and disappeared to the kitchen. I was there for about another 15 minutes finishing my coffee until I left. The new owners recently had a review in the West Australian, a very good review that outlined their history in working and owning restaurants, some of their experience at a level of Michelin Star. Was there an apology? No. Was I offered a refund on my breakfast? No. Was I apologised to profusely and asked to come back to enjoy a breakfast on them? No. Surely I was feted with several pastries in a bag, apologised to and assured it would not happen again. No. I left without any further contact, apology or attempt at making me feel better about the experience. I think my loyal patronage of Cambridge Corner has come to an end after quite a few years. Time to find a new 'local' for my mornings as many other customers...

For those of you who fell in love with this quirky little Corner Store when David & Simone spawned it, and if you haven’t been for a while, just letting you know they sold it and it is now owned by a different couple. The lovely welcomes and customer service has sadly gone as well. My friend and I had breakfast there today and although the coffee was great, my French toast meal was inedible. It was meant to be made with soft pillowy brioche, but it was hard, rubbery, and burnt!. This dish is not new to me, I order it at two other cafes near my home and in both of those two little places, its yumminess is to die for. Today however at Cambridge Corner it was greatly disappointing. When the chef was clearing plates on a nearby table, I politely told him the issues, asked what it was made with since texture was so tough, and he rudely saidā€¦ā€it’s Briocheā€ and marched off never to return to settle anything. As we left the premises, I spoke to a young worker, who refunded the meal and apologised. So after other recent dissatisfaction by 2 other people we know really well… we have all realised, that what was once great and friendly with the original owners, is now not so and we certainly will be scratching this place...
