Burgermeister by Fusion — Restaurant in Western Australia

I had to write this review as I feel this place is not even close to deserving the 4+ review that it currently has. I visited this place for the second time recently and had a similar experience to my first time.

I ordered the cheeseburger, as I am a fan of burgers that are mostly meat, onions and cheese, without much salad in them. This is the kind of burger I have had at many burger places and I use it as a benchmark when reviewing a burger place. Starting with a positive, the bun was a good choice. The patty was slightly dry, but very underwhelming in flavour and texture. A little gristly, cheaper mince with quite a low meat content and not cooked in a way that really brought out the flavours. The pickles they chose were very sour - a sweet pickle would REALLY help boost the burger here, balancing the other tangy/sour flavours of the sauces, which just overpower this burger. And that is another problem, there was too much sauce, so that the burger ends up messy and the other components diminish into the background. More flavoursome cheese would have been nice too, given it's a cheeseburger! A cheeseburger is a simple creation, so one that requires the few components it has to be right, in order to be enjoyable.

The chips were quite nicely cooked, however when you end up paying ~$20 for a burger meal, it really needs to be amazing to justify the cost and this place just falls way short of that mark. It could get there, but given it hasn't changed in the few times I have visited over the last few years, so I don't see...

We came here for dinner to try out the burgers, as we had heard it was under new ownership.

As soon as we entered and walked to the front counter, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who assigned us to our table.

The menu had plenty of options to choose from, in particular what stood out for me was that they offered both a smashed patty and thick patty option.

Upon ordering our food, we were advised by the same employee that there is a short wait time. Again something which I found quite pleasing. We've been to many restaurants and have sat waiting and wondering how long our meals were going to be. Giving customers the heads up in advance of any possible delays is great!

Whilst we waited we glanced around. It was nice to see that the venue had ample seating and could accommodate for larger bookings.

The food came out a short while later and we were excited, especially due to the mouthwatering smell that came from the burgers. The burgers were spot on and the skirt on the smashed patty was crispy, just the way you'd expect it to be, kudos to the chef out back cooking them! We enjoyed all our food and had some left over too, so portion size was great, as was the cost.

We enjoyed our experience at Burgermeister's and will definitely be back!

Been coming here for many years and the quality has gone downhill bad lately. The hotdogs I used to love are now being served burned and dry. Someone in their kitchen actually said "yep this is a great sausage" and sent it out to me for delivery. Shameful. The fried chicken burger was bland, texture was off and it tasted only of bad fryer oil, I couldn't eat either of the last orders I made from here in the last 2 months. After wasting my money twice in 2 months, I will not return again.

Edit: In response to the owner. I live 2 minutes away. This is what your kitchen gave me. I didn't take the sausage out of the hotdog bun, then burn it, then place it back in the bun to take this photograph. I have dined in, done my own pickup and driven home 2 minutes away, and had many deliveries. As a personally amazing cook myself and food connoisseur, you insult my intelligence. To repeat myself again, I had been going here for many years, maybe 10 years. And all I have had from you recently has been pure disappointment. Your excuses and justifications mean nothing to excuse the poor quality of food that you have been putting out lately. This never happened to me before in my 50+ visits to your store over the last 10 years until the last year or so. I'm not interested in a complimentary meal and you won't...
