I ordered a chicken pie, got a beef pie instead. No big deal I thought, this stuff happens all the time. I told the server I ordered the chicken pie, but she insisted I had said the beef pie. I know I didn't say that as I don't really like beef pies, and I very clearly remember what I said to her. She kept telling me I ordered something that I wouldn't order, and as a rather shy person I was tempted to just agree to stop her from talking to me like I'm some sort of idiot that doesn't understand how to order food from a cafe. The manager came out and took her side and said I couldn't get a refund or exchange, so the pie ended up in the bin. As Brandy said in another review, she got my order wrong and it felt like it was two against one. I felt insulted, gaslit, and had my money wasted, and I won't be going back...

I recently visited Caffissimo for breakfast and ordered their Big Breakfast. It came with all the essentials—crispy hashbrown, juicy sausage, sautéed mushrooms, smoky bacon, and eggs (which I requested scrambled but received fried instead).

Despite the mix-up, the fried eggs were cooked perfectly, with crispy edges and a runny yolk, so I didn’t mind too much. The hashbrown was golden and crunchy, the sausage was flavorful, and the mushrooms added a nice earthy touch. The bacon was cooked just right—not too crispy, not too chewy.

The portion size was generous, and with a good cup of coffee on the side, it made for a satisfying meal. While I would have preferred my scrambled eggs as ordered, the overall quality of the food was great, coffee was delicious and smooth, and I’d still recommend it! Great way to...

THIS CAFE POISONED ME. They need to learn how to properly backflush thier espresso machine. I was a barista for 12 years at a number of Perth cafes, including several owned by Nick Tremboli. All cafes use trisodium phosphate to clean their machines at the end of the day but only the worst do not pull at least 3 shots through before they open to mitigate the risk of killing their customers. They also probably use far too much of it. You only need to use a few granules each day but I am sure they use a full teaspoon. I got a coffee here at about 7am, I think, it was so terrible I am not sure of the time I actually bought it. I got a severe sore throat hours after taking a few sips. Avoid this place...
