We went there after a bicycle ride with our two kids and ordered a pizza, hot chips and garlic bread. We were told it will take up to 40 Min. We asked the kids if that was fine, they reluctantly said yes. Whilst waiting 4 other tables were arriving well after us. After a while one of the tables got their food. (Stake sandwich and a hamburger) Then the others (all propper food not just cakes) I asked the waitress if it’s possible that they have forgotten about our order. She checked and said it with be another 10 Min. By then we waited 50 Min. I said why all the others have gotten their food before us and that the kids are “getting” a bit hungry. The reply was they must have ordered before us. The next excuse was they must have only had cakes and coffees. We waited another 10 Min went in and got told we need to wait another 10 Min. Up to that time we were still friendly but then we explained the situation again and got asked if we wanted a refund. We said yes and said but the food for the kids will still be coming. Reply, yes. After another 10 Min we asked again just to have someone in the kitchen come out and confronting us and telling us that if we get a refund we can’t get food as well, so they cancelled our kids food. The women had blue hair. She refused to give us her first name. How a business can survive with service like that gets me. I guess it’s because they have the “only” coffee down there. Not surprised though that Dome Fremantle is closed. I will contact Dome about this directly as well.
(When telling them they should check the time on the dockets from the other tables that have come after us, they weren’t interested)
PS We got told they were 4 staff short that day, yet 3 people at the same time had their breaks and none of them were ever stressed. Plus if those 4 people would have been all missing in the kitchen, that would have been a lye too as there is no way you need 6 people in a kitchen for that kind of food. I have worked in proper kitchens...
Read moreWorst costumer service in the world I have never been so disappointed and disgusted in the way these workers have treated my family today, we ordered a chicken salad with no bacon as we can not have it to then be brought to us with bacon and we had explained that it was not to have bacon asked for a new one as anyone who isn’t able to consume a certain food would , the server that attempted to fix the issue was the only understanding one and had come back and explained that it was pre-made and couldn’t be created without bacon which should of been explained before we paid for it or otherwise we would of never order it to then ask if we were able to swap it to come to a manger approaching us and with no apology to the situation began to drag us down stairs again to pay .30 cents extra due to there inability to train front staff properly, as time went on everyone had received the food other then me and as it went from 20-30minutes still with no food insight as everyone began to finish , my dear mother asked a manger who walked passed when it would occur just for them to snap at my mother rudely saying it’s coming and how we just ordered it even though we have been waiting 30 minutes already so we waited another 20 minutes just for it to come as we were leaving. This is the most unacceptable costumer service to have occurred towards me and my family I’m seriously disappointed as I work in costumer services can understand stressful situations occur but this was acceptable as no apology occurred to us, I recommend no one to ever come here if you have an allergies or religious belief to unable to consume certain food as they do not care for...
Read moreGreat view but slow service, COLD coffee and seagulls love plates not being cleared.
I have been here 4 times (meet parents) and each time the coffee is cold. I watch the barista make the coffee and once completed put on the pass for it to always wait at minimum 5 minutes to be collected and delivered.
Who would ever think to have a faster process or even a warmer tray or protection of some kind from the draught coming from the door 3 metres away.
If I was the barista I would be so annoyed as all the hard work is ruined.
What I find amusing each time is when I mention to the staff the coffee is cold they look at me in amazement and very surprised. It takes an average of 25 minutes to finally get the coffee and I assume that is because it includes the standard 5 minute wait time on the pass.
When our coffees were finally delivered my parents kindly requested (very demanding I know) their drinks are hot when delivered (we ordered after them, got delivered first = 25 minutes) and another 15 minutes later (total 40 minutes) their drinks were delivered and piping hot. Great work.... I assuming they removed the obligatory 5 minute minimum wait time on the pass.
While I am at it.... Great idea to remove the plates from the tables before the seagulls descend and throw food everywhere; even the best trained seagulls cannot resist taking food when it is left for 20 minutes and not taken away.
Great location (earned the one star) upstairs lounges are comfy (earned the second star) but service is...
