Ellie's Cafe — Restaurant in Western Australia

Every time I order something from Ellie's Cafe on DoorDash it is always hot, fresh and yummy!

Today, I ordered an iced coffee (along with another normal Flat White and breakfast burrito) from them through DoorDash. Unfortunately there was no option for decaf, but you can fill out the "Special Instructions" to add anything you may need for an item. Many different Cafes I have tried to get decaf through this method have either not seen or cared to make sure that it was, in fact, decaf. This time however, was the first time trying to get decaf this way through Ellie's Cafe, and they were amazing with it! They saw the instructions and further wrote "DECAF!" multiple times on the lid of the coffee itself to make sure which one I knew was decaf. This may seem like a small thing that could be overlooked but for people with health concerns regarding caffeinated drinks, it is honestly so kind and refreshing to get good customer service this way. Especially when it's hard to trust that these instructions were looked at, and then not drinking the coffee incase it is caffeinated. Thank you guys so much, so many people that still love their coffee but can't have caffeine will be so appreciative of this 😊

I also noticed that many cafes tend to burn decaf coffee. As a barista myself, I know it can be challenging to make it taste the same as the normal caffeinated coffee as decaf isn't as calibrated to the machine. However, they did such a good job with the balance, it tastes really good! Great job ❤️

I also highly recommend their breakfast burrito, it's so good and filling! I have also been in the cafe before, and it is such a nice and comfy atmosphere, I highly recommend going in and getting your morning coffee!

☆☆☆ I LOVE the new Ellie's VIBE!! ☆☆☆ A QUICK NOTE... there has been some changes at Ellie's with staff, cook/chef etc and there's a new supervisor there who seems to be keen to get it running how it should. Yep, some of the older reviews aren't great, but a refresh can do great things... keep an open mind.

A lovely little escape from the Sunday hum-drum to grab a coffee at Ellie's! Great vibe, huge choice of products, lots of Gluten Free options (and not just the same stuff that you see everywhere else either!) Our last couple of visits have been really nice! Timmy is a total asset to the team with his positive vibe and cheery outlook. Doesn't matter if you are just stopping for a coffee or making a meal of it, you get the same cheery service every time. There's a few retail-like there too, like bags of protein shakes etc that you can purchase samples of and they seem to stock an modest range of locally made items like tote bags and gifts which helps to give that "more than just your local cafe" feel. ♡ You can tell just walking in that the vibe has grown in all the right ways over the last few months, so if you haven't been to Ellie's before, or haven't had the best of luck there in the past years, DO give it another chance. 🌻 See...

I will start with I dont get straws to save the planet, they have given me a new reason after I watched a staff member scratch her eyebrow with a straw and then stick it in a customer's drink. I requested no straw to which they told me "but its biodegradable" as if I was inconveniencing their life, I told her no straw and she wrote it clearly on the docket - this was completely ignored by another unimpressed staff member and brought out, when I pointed out I requested no straw she told me its biodegradable and walked away disregarded me.

I suggest you leave straws out for people to grab themselves, saves the skin shavings in our drinks.

The tables were all grubby and not wiped down, we had to move tables and settled for one we cleared ourselves. If this is the state of your front of house I am really concerned for your back of house food standards.

The food was good but took ages to come out! Also dont claim you are a gluten free cafe when you have gluten free options - this is misleading for cealiacs.

I gave this cafe a second chance and I am disappointed I paid to waste my time here on staff that clearly hate thier job.

They have deleted my posts on their fb and they dont allow reviews which is clear to see why.
