I will will rate negative if I can . Previously they were quite alright and I went back several times. But today on Christmas eve, which is also my father in law's 70th birthday, which is a big thing for us Chinese born, they messed up big time. I am so disappointed that I will not be going back ever. Small things like serving 3 mains dishes and no rice was served. had to request several times before they get the rice and they were not very busy, only about half the restaurant was filled at the time. The big things us that they served uncooked fresh fish and when we told the waiter, he simply said sorry and walked off. I call for the owner and he just offered to take the uncooked fish and steam it again till its cooked. To us, and the owner should know, uncooked fish is not a good sign. At other restaurants, they would have offered to cook a new fish on the spot. Bad standard. the last straw was that we actually booked 2 weeks in advance and 1 week prior we ordered from the menu and specifically requested for 28 of the chinese birthday buns which is an auspicious number with good meaning, which they assured us is not a problem. Just before serving, the boss came over and said that they only had 24 of the buns and wanted to replace the other 4 with man tou, which 24 is not an auspicious number and we do not eat man you at birthdays. When I question that we pre ordered and they should have made sure they had enough, the reply was simply we did not check when they was delivered. This is so very unacceptable and they are also chinese and should know the importance of celebrating 70th birthday. The insult was that he offered to let us have the 24 birthday buns for free, as if we cannot afford to pay for it.
Please do not go there and waste your $$ on food that you can get elsewhere with much better service and better consideration for...
Read moreI used to come here often and the place was always at least half full, the food was very good and it had a real vibe about it, the service was always great and I always recommended it to other people. Went there recently after a long break and boy how things have changed, the food was still pretty good although not as good as it used to be, the 'special' fried rice we ordered was not special at all, one of our dishes was ordered as garlic prawns and came out as garlic chicken. the place had more flies than people and the general appearance was very grubby, some of the plates had chips out of them, the windows were dirty and hadn't been cleaned in ages. No condiments on the table I had to ask for soy sauce. The woman who served us was quite abrupt and you could see she had no interest in us at all. The noise she was making just dropping cutlery on to hard surface tables around us while were trying to have a conversation was unreal, the kitchen lady came out and clattered and banged her way around the restaurant with a trolley to the point where we had to stop talking until she disappeared out the back, once again no thought to what the customers might think. when we asked our waitress if we could see the sweets menu, she said 'no sweets menu, only fried ice cream, with choc topping', then she mumbled something about she can't get staff - I don't know what that has to do with fried ice cream but there you have it, very disappointing, I think this business is dying and I can't see it lasting unless there is a dramatic change, there were about 10 people including us 4 when we arrived, by the time we left the place was empty. We resolved to find somewhere...
Read moreOh my god where do I start, we have been regulars at this place for a few years, but haven’t been there for quite a few months, unfortunately something has drastically changed for the worse, the whole place is in need of a good clean, the windows are absolutely filthy and the dining area is grimy, that’s just the start of it, the service from the miserable stoney faced waitress was like something out of Faulty Towers, she slammed down plates and cutlery, totally avoided eye contact or any meaningful engagement with us, she stomped around huffing and puffing and basically made a complete fool of herself, some of the other patrons found it as equally amusing as we did, clearly she didn’t want to be there, the food was bland and the whole experience was a complete joke, on the way out she tried to justify her behaviour by saying she was run off her feet, which was utter nonsense because the place was 80% empty, we will...
