Guzman y Gomez - Cockburn — Restaurant in Western Australia

We expect the owner of the store to read this and take this very serious. We have be customer’s for years. I have never experienced the rudeness of this ever before. I believe this gentleman should be fired. We ordered on table 56 and 68. I am hear to defend my husband as he was treated so rudely. Table 68 had a guava drink and 1 corona with a lime. The drinks came out 25 minutes apart Table 68 we ordered 5 meals for 4 people + a baby.. they got the order wrong. They continually keep bringing the same meal back being an enchilada instead of quesadilla and we never received the small nachos .. the vegetarian nachos were spicy 🌶️ despite asking for them to be ( like usually never put spice how they use too! Nor the same amount of toppings ). The beef nachos weren’t spicy either! If you offer different levels of heat at least make the food happy to be spicy then ! Let’s not focus on the food here. The topic was the service and lack of customer service.

We never had our meals together, actually they never came despite saying they were making them. We asked can the food come out and ask for complementary drinks despite ordering our meals at 9pm.. it’d 30 min to 45 min late now. The so called southern American guy called guz (sure that isn’t his name) said I’m not giving any drinks! It was witnessed by 3 people he said ‘I have had enough!’ He mumbled under his breath as he left the table. About 5 minutes later we approached the guy and he denies saying it. 3 people heard it - then he talks about my husbands alcohol and inability to serve him! Cover story to say I think he has had enough. Excuse me don’t belittle my husband. We are actually quiet successful people. My husband and I have been at shops and had 1 beer. Not drunk!! I think he needs to find a new job his incapable. This complaint is about his lack of ability to communicate and be courteous don’t yell abuse on customer’s.

HE WAS MORE INTERESTED IN Calling the police and not making our meals. Despite us not being abusive. We purely ask for complementary drink or drinks. 3 out of 5 people receive nothing (one being a young child). We are married families with children and he did this to us really? He apologies for the lateness and still proceeded to call the police. Just pathetic service. Sorry for what - being an egotistic idiot. We asked him to leave the table and he continued to argue with us. We asked him to leave the table and we didn’t want to be served by him anymore. He continued to come our table .

By 10pm the meals still didn’t come. He decided to call the police and then proceeds to say officers no problem here. He didn’t want us to speak to them. We did anyway. Guz insisted on calling the security or police. The man supposedly called by the name his ( wouldn’t admit his real name) all the staff were told by him not to tell us his name. Please tell me - where is his customer service of the customer being right. We just wanted a family meal and didn’t even get that. To top it off he called the police on a family of 2 couples with a baby. Then he waste the police officers time 4 officer came to the scene waste for resources?

PS he clearly can’t read number and keep coming back with the wrong receipts for the purpose of a refund. Clearly he has no regard for the time of our valuable...

Really really really disappointed with the managers behaviour. This manager guy who would call himself Gus (I am sure this isn’t his real name) was extremely rude to us all. We were two families with children there and would really like to name and shame this guy. This is not the first time they mucked up our order but each time the staff here was apologetic and eager to fix the issue. Today though we experienced the rudest behaviour in customer service history. After raising the concern with staff over two errors in one order, Gus the manager shows up, starts asking us to just eat what ever they made and starting abusing us when we complained about these guys mucking up the order again and for wasting our time. We asked them to compensate for the lost time and drinks and the manager says, no you are not going to get anything and that I have had enough. He then alleged he said I have had enough (after one corona) This manager on Thursday evening, 23rd November 2023 was so rude that our family was in shock the way he treated us. I am specifying the time and date of this incidence mainly because I don’t think this manager gave us the right name, he also asked his staff to give his name to us and they would refuse to do so. First they muck up the order twice in one evening, and then is getting treated the way he did is shameful and an absolute disgrace on Guzman Cockburn staff, franchisor and their managers part. I asked if I could have the contact number of the franchisor and he would refuse to even talk to us. 15 minutes later when we again raised our concern, the third time when our mucked up order wasn’t coming / reordered he then instead of apologising the third time started threatening us to call the police. I do not ever give give reviews, in fact after being abused the way we did I was compelled to create this account and write this review. After reading this review the franchise owner should really make efforts to contact us and or deal with the concerns raised appropriately. We will never...

I can't say enough good things about Guzman y Gomez and their incredible selection of Mexican eats! Every time I walk into this restaurant, I'm greeted by the enticing aroma of fresh ingredients and spices that immediately whet my appetite.
