I came into GYG Whitfords on what had been an incredibly rough day—one of those days where everything feels just a little too heavy. I stopped by more out of habit than excitement, hoping a burrito might lift my mood just a bit. What I didn’t expect was for my whole day to be turned around, not just by the amazing food, but by the incredible service I received.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and genuine smile from a team member named Izzy G. Her energy was so positive and welcoming that it caught me off guard in the best way possible. She took the time to ask how my day was going—not just out of routine, but with real care in her voice. I ended up mentioning I’d had a tough day, and without missing a beat, she offered a kind word, a light-hearted comment, and a sense of calm that honestly made me feel seen and appreciated.
Izzy handled my order with absolute professionalism and kindness, and even went the extra mile to make sure everything was just how I liked it. It might seem small to some, but when you’re feeling low, having someone treat you like you matter can make all the difference.
And of course, the food was fantastic—as always. I went for a spicy chicken burrito with extra guac, and it hit the spot. Everything was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. GYG consistently nails the balance between hearty, healthy, and satisfying.
But truly, what stood out most during this visit was Izzy. Her service didn’t just make my meal enjoyable—it made my day. It reminded me that a little kindness and warmth from someone can have a real impact.

I wanted to share my experience with the pickup service I received today. When I arrived to pick up my online order, the staff member initially assumed I was a delivery driver, even though I had already mentioned I was there for a pickup. She then informed me that my order wasn’t ready yet, which I understood. However, when her supervisor asked what I was waiting for, the staff member, in a very dismissive tone, referred to me as a delivery driver and seemed to treat me with a lack of respect.
I understand that working in a fast-paced environment can be stressful, but I believe that all customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and professionalism, regardless of the situation. I was disappointed by the tone and attitude displayed, especially when I was simply trying to collect an order that I had placed online.
I hope you can address this issue to ensure a more respectful experience for future customers.
