Visited with family and small child one evening. There is little sign of this being a 'Thai' restaurant, rows of tables and chairs with the ambience of a tidy school canteen.More of an 'eatery', with Thai dishes, it could as easily be Italian or Indian. Service was prompt and one suspects throughput is an issue here being located in Whitfords mall and next to the cinema complex entrance. Starters were 'prawn cakes' which are actually made with pork and a bit of prawn, breaded and deep fried served with a nondescript sweet chilli sauce from an anonymous sweet chilli sauce factory.Tasty enough but most pureed breaded and fried rissoles are, especially when dipped in sugar sauce. Mains were a Massaman beef curry with 'Wagyu beef', quite why anyone would use Waygyu in a dish where the meet is stewed for six hours in a heavy sauce is a mystery. The dish was very pleasant but Wagyu beef it was not, chuck steak more likely. The other guests had Thai Green Curry, a seafood and a chicken. The curry part was well enough done but the seafood consisted of a piece of basa the size of a matchbox, two mussels, three prawns and three pieces of squid or octopus or some such cephalopod which had clearly died of taste starvation. Over this piscine feast was a scattering of raw carrot, scalloped on a 'vegematic' chopper, the sort that comes with a free set of knives, and equally raw broccoli pieces the size of small bushes and requiring a knife to cut. It was awful. The child had a small bowl of noodle and 'Prawn' cakes, nice enough but expensive at $12. Altogether $136 for 3 adults and an infant. The beer on offer included VB at $144 a carton! So worth the money,no. Tasty authentic Thai, no. Eat here again,no. There a number of restaurants less than 30 seconds from Bangkok Bros offering tastier food at less cost not to mention the brewpub where the beer is genuine, realistically priced and the food much better and cheaper. Read moreBangkok Brothers in Whitford offers an immersive culinary journey through Thai cuisine, earning a solid 4 out of 5 stars. From the moment you step in, the ambiance transports you to the vibrant streets of Thailand, with its eclectic decor and lively atmosphere. The menu boasts an impressive array of traditional Thai dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors and meticulously prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Standout dishes include the fragrant green curry with tender chicken, perfectly balanced with coconut milk and Thai basil, and the tangy som tum salad, featuring crisp green papaya and fiery chili. The pad thai noodles are a crowd-pleaser, with just the right amount of sweetness and a satisfying crunch from the peanuts.
Service is attentive and friendly, with staff eager to guide diners through the menu and accommodate any dietary preferences or restrictions. However, wait times during peak hours can be slightly lengthy, so it's advisable to make reservations in advance.
Overall, Bangkok Brothers offers a delightful dining experience for Thai food enthusiasts and newcomers alike, with its authentic flavors, inviting ambiance, and attentive service. While there may be minor room for improvement in terms of wait times, the quality of the cuisine makes it a standout choice in Whitford's...

After my wife had taken one bit from the pork wonton she said that this pork is off or in her words is bad, I had a bit and had the same conclusions. My wife is asian so she does know when pork is off, old, or rotten. I called over the waitress and informed her of the situation with the food and she wasn't impressed with me complaining about the food actually she was rather arrogant ! She took the food away and backing to the kitchen. We waited and waited (15 minutes) in the end I had to go to the cashier to ask what was happening g with the meal she advised she would find out. She came back to the table and said that the wontons are home made and that's the way they taste ! We got a refund for the meal and left. We maker wontons at home ! These where rotten! So if you want food poisoning please feel free to eat at this "restaurant " but they have lost my service because of the arrogance and current...
