I collect Uber Eats orders from various restaurants, but the treatment I received here was the worst I’ve experienced in years of delivery work.
• A staff member in the drive-through (wearing a gold-coloured chain) became verbally aggressive the moment I arrived. Instead of a simple request to move aside, he shouted that he would “ban” me and give me a negative rating if I didn’t leave immediately. • I was on time — Uber’s own pickup timestamps show I arrived about three minutes after accepting the order. • When I calmly asked for clarification, the situation escalated. The staff member insisted that Uber drivers “get paid to wait” (that policy was discontinued), then threatened to misuse the rating system against me. • I later spoke to the manager. He acknowledged a misunderstanding about waiting fees, but still went on to file a complaint to Uber claiming I caused a verbal altercation. Not only threatened and banned, but I also missed out on earnings, and they harmed my eligibility with complaints and negative ratings.
I filed a complaint on their official website, they said they’ll get in touch by email but they never responded.
It’s disappointing that a national brand allows staff to intimidate delivery drivers who are simply trying to...
Read moreOrdinarily, I wouldn't rave about a fast good joint. My family don't go often, as it just doesn't suit our budget. However one evening we decided a treat was in order. So we popped down to our local HJs. While we were going through the drive-through, the eftpos machine broke down. The manager came and tried to fix it, but it was taking time. We were asked to do a lap so a customer could get out as they had chosen not to order without eftpos. Not a problem we did that and by the time we got back around, the eftpos was up and running again. We were just waiting on one item, being cooked fresh, so were asked to park up. No worries. A very friendly lass brought our meal out to the car and home we went. Sadly, however, almost everything was cold by the time we got there, and I realised that it was due to the eftpos failure. So I quickly called the store and spoke with the manager. He was so apologetic and said all would be replaced. Over the course of the next two weeks (we broke up the order replacement), he kept to his word. The service from every team member was friendly and just fabulous. I don't think I have EVER been to such a well-run and professional fast food place. I highly...
Read moreI literally have just walked out of Hungry Jacks Midvale. I was the only one in the restaurant took about 7mins for them to give service. The drive through was busy but they had no one for the front counter. When I ordered I asked for a hunger tamer. You get 2 burgers, 3 chick nugs, chips and a drink. The guy asked if I wanted it in a meal. I thought that was weird but did yes. He finishes my order after asking me a couple more dumb question about the order. I look at the screen and its just a normal combo meal. I asked him about it and said where's the rest? He looked puzzled and I showed him on there big screen what I wanted. The Hunger Tamer I said. The manager comes over and asks if they're is a problem looking at the worker. He was a bit flustered and didn't really answer. She looked at me and said are you swearing at him? I was shocked and said am I what?? She said I thought I could hear you swearing. I said NO, told them to forget about the order. There was not a problem to the manager put her nose in. I said forget the order and walked out. That manager needs more training. I have never been so...
