Hungry Jack's Burgers Port Kennedy — Restaurant in Western Australia

I will never go back to the Port Kennedy HJ. I took my two young grandsons for dinner last Saturday. The “boy” serving me asked me to repeat my order numerous times. I asked for a bottle of water at room temperature (not refrigerated). He had no idea. Two older girls came and knew what I wanted. One of them had been helping intermittently during my trying to place the order. The completed order took 15 minutes to be ready. It was not busy at the time. We went to find a table. There was only one almost acceptably clean table. My 10 yr old grandson was asking me to listen to his shoes sticking to the floor. The food was at best awful. I had a cheese whopper. The bun was stale/dry. The beef was black and dry. The salad consisted of a few thin strips of lettuce, two small soggy pieces of tomato, two small old looking pickles. I could see the whole burger through the “salad”. The tomato sauce was almost nonexistent and the mayo was not much better. The usual burger juices were not even enough to run out of the burger as expected from a hungry jacks burger. My grandsons cheese burger was no better and he could eat the chips because there was too much salt. He said the coke was good. I can’t say the same about my “thick” shake. It was way to thin to be called thick. My 5yr old grandson ordered nuggets and chips. This child always eats this and asks for more. He took a bite of both and said he didn’t want it. We went to the bin to place the rubbish into it. The bin was so full the flap wouldn’t swing inward. I had obviously not been emptied for some time. It had certainly not been wiped over properly. I ordered from menulog, I decided to ring up to place concerned about my order as most of the time it is either wrong or in some way messed up (either by the driver or the restaurant) I'm not too sure as I don't work there. The 1st time I ran up the guy (I'm assuming a manager) answering was etremely considerate and nice considering he was most likely busy. He gave me a replacement and said I could come in anytime. The next time I ordered from menulog I rang up asking if I could get my replacement in my bag along with what I ordered. Later on I realised my order was going to take a long time as the estimated delivery for a few items was over an hour. I rang again to ask if it could be made close to the delivery so I was eating fresh and coincidentally it was the same gentleman he was extremely nice the 2nd time and he was considerate knowing my situation. He placed some extra things in the bag (thank you) along with what I ordered and a note that made me really appreciative and smile. I did try to ring up to get his name unfortunately the line was busy. All I know is that he worked Tuesday the 20th and was likely the overnight manager (I did order pretty late) he is is one of the few people when "complaining" that I have found are professional and come to a conclusion that you'll like. He spoke without irritation and as a person who understands. I hope people in the future will have the experience I have had with this store. It is hard to be perfect when rushed but I am thankfully for people like this. I hope he sees this and knows that people out there appreciate the little efforts he makes to be nice. Me and my dad went there , we ordered separately but at about the same time , my order was a chicken Royal , and a bbq cheese burger meal it took them ten minutes to make it because they were all talking and messing around , my dad ordered two meals and it took them even longer to make it taking them 20 minutes to make two burgers . As a former fast food worker it shouldn’t take that long to make simple orders . The other thing was they weren’t even busy .

There was a guide dog in training inside the restaurant too that kept barking it only being a puppy , that was also quiet annoying the barking echoing through in the restaurant, the manager could of politely asked those customers to sit outside too.

The restaurant was also dirty the tables weren’t wipped down them having some kind of Sauce all over them . And some of them having rubbish all over them making it extremely unhygienic.

One more thing , they weren’t using lettuce on the burgers they were using cabbage? But no one informed us of that until we took a bite of our burgers realising it was cabage . What if somone was highly allergic to cabbage and they wanted a burger with lettuce on it?

Overall worst experience at hungry jacks...
