I have encountered the worst possible service on Boxing Day morning whilst attempting to have breakfast at Jamaica Blue Mandurah Forum. We arrived approx. 9:40am and ordered two breakfast potato hash dishes, and then other people on our table ordered a breakfast hash, zucchini fitter & salmon bagel on a separate number (which was 2 orders behind us).
We were told the coffee would take a while, which was fine - half an hour later, the coffees were almost finished, and the 2nd order for the table (the one made 2 orders behind our first order) was served. I queried that we still hadn’t received the first order, and the waitress just said it was coming out. 5mins later, still nothing.
I asked to speak to the manager, who I again explained that the order we were still waiting on was 2 orders ahead and still not received, yet other table orders had come out since we spoke to the waitress. The manager asked what we ordered, and I said 2x breakfast hashes. Her excuse - was that she didn’t have the grill plate for the bacon to make them all at the same time, and that it was coming.
Again, I said that the order was placed two orders ahead of the order that came to the table - the next words actually came out of her mouth... she said to me that their order only required two pieces of bacon for one breakfast hash dish, and the first order needed the grill plate for four pieces! This is THE MANAGER that said this - if the order got lost somehow, at least be honest rather than make some ridiculous excuse to dig a bigger hole in. There was absolutely no apology from the manager. I asked for a refund therefore - of which we weren’t even given back the 10% public holiday surcharge! I had to go back and ask for it after I’d realised this. Absolutely unacceptable behaviour from any hospitality manager.
As a longtime Jamaica Blue customer, experiencing this at the new Mandurah Forum cafe has put a huge dent in this...
Read moreI purchased a take away coffee, at the Mandurah forum. I was appalled by the behaviour of the most ruddest young girl with dark hair that was making the coffee. When I went up to the counter i thought my name was called out, and she snap back and said that's not yours its someone else's and i reply that's no problem with a smile. So i sat down and waited. Eventually received the coffee after waiting 15 minutes it was cold, and I did say to her thank you very much and she didn't even acknowledge or apologise for the long wait, we pay enough for coffee which is $6.00 for a medium cold cup of coffee and served by a little rude brat. If you don't like your job I suggest you go back to school and learn education before you enter the workforce. A smile and good manners can go a long way, she lacks people skills. Just remember young girl, the money I contributed to Jamaica Blue pays your wages....
Read moreClub sandwich was disgusting to say the least. Dry old bits of garlic chicken & soggy tomatoes between thick stale toast. The service was even worse. The iced lemon drink I ordered off the menu for my 93yo mother never arrived with the food so I asked the young girl to chase it up. She returned with a plastic bottle of iced tea from the fridge. Did she really think a 93yo lady would want to drink from a plastic bottle? FFS!! When I stopped her and told her to take it away and please get what I had ordered from the menu she simply walked off. An older lady from the counter returned with the requested drink prepared in a glass jug. Probably wasn't the young girl's fault as she clearly had zero training in customer service and was probably dreaming of what was on Home & Away that night. Rubbish food &...
