Kao Suay Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Western Australia

My wife and I recently celebrated a wedding anniversary by having a meal at Kao Suay Thai Cuisine. This was the first time we have ever dined at KSTC. We were somewhat apprehensive when reserving out table but were optimistic with the many positive online reviews.

We decided to have Pad See Ew and Thai Style Fried Rice as our main meals. The portion sizes were generous for the cost but not supersized (along with the price) therefore reducing food waste. Our meals had a good ratio between noodle/rice, veggie and meat. My wife is an experienced critique of Asian cuisine but found our meals quite enjoyable. So much so, our meals were finished to the last morsal.

This was a Saturday evening and there were a number of people dining in so I would recommend booking ahead to reserve a table. There was a constant flow of delivery drivers picking up meals throughout our stay, so I believe there are many others who enjoy the food at KSTC. They also have Vegan and GF options for those with dietary requirements.

We would like to thank all the staff at KSTC for the warm welcome and special treatment we received throughout our dining in experience. I’m sure we will be back to experience the warm hospitality and try some of the other delightful looking...

On TUESDAY 3RD JAN 2023 three members of our household ordered a meal through the UberEats app. Our order consisted of 2 x Vegeterian Spring Rolls, 1 x Penang Curry, 1 x Green Curry with prawns, 1 x Tom Yum Noodle Soup and 2 x Jasmine Rice. The order arrived at 1847 without 2 x Jasmine rice. To your credit, the rice came pretty quickly when this was called through, HOWEVER only one was delivered. Surely if you get called out for a mistake you check to make sure your getting it right! The next issue was the Tom Yum Noodle Soup. As per the menu item on Ubereats it's meant to have boiled egg and peanuts with it. This menu item did not have either and lacked any real amount of chicken within the meal, which was very disappointing. The second Jasmine Rice did arrive at 2005, which was way past us caring about our meal. The total of the items came to $72. No compensation or apology was afforded to us regarding this issue, and even when the lady from the restaurant delivered the second rice she was very confused about what had happened when I went to make a complaint. I would have made this complaint over the phone, but your business decides to not take phone calls after 1945. Very disappointed by these...

We ordered takeaway. I went into the store to collect our dinner and was greeted by the friendliest staff.

If you know anything about Thai food, you'll know that when you see the women zipping around the kitchen, cooking up a storm, you're in for a treat! And believe me we were!

The Prawn Tom Yum Fried rice was amazing, juicy full sized prawns, packed full of vegetables and a beautiful flavour.

The Red Chicken Curry was absolutely to die for, the last time we had a red curry that good and that authentic was in Thailand. So fragrant, plenty of chicken, plenty of vegetables and the perfect balance of flavour. With the perfect amount of spice!

The fish cakes were really tasty and the spring rolls were amazing. My partner says that she can't remember the last time she had Spring Rolls that good, and I'd have to agree.

We're now looking at the menu at home and planning our next meal here!
