The new Bean on the block! Vegetarian heaven! I have not been to many vegetarian restaurants in Perth and I am glad that there is an Asian restaurant now that I can recommend to my friends and family who are. The whole menu is vegetarian! Now that alone cannot be the only thing that one will give a review for. For me personally, it all boils down to the experience from the moment you walk in and even down to how they treat you when you walk out. I decided to review this restaurant yesterday and brought a whole gang so we could try quite a few dishes. The Nasi Lemak KFC was good but lacked sambal, the fried rice was very bland, Curry Mee was good, Mee Goreng was flavourful, Wonton Mee was surprisingly very oily and vegetarian Sui Mai was quite spongy. The name Little Bean i would say is definitely pointing to their speciality of soy bean so i would think it would be good to review that as well. The fresh soya bean drink was quite refreshing and you can control the sweetness that you prefer. The soya pudding however was a let down. Asked for a hot one and it was served neither hot or cold. The service by the staff members I would say need some work. Some of them looked uninviting. I understand that you can get busy at times but maybe look at rostering extra people at busier shifts as that might help. Some of the food selection on the menu is also quite pricey for what is served on the plate. Still recommend that you give Little Beans Gourmet a try.

This was one of the most delicious vegan meals I’ve ever had!! They serve the most amazing Asian style dishes and their menu is HUGE, very reasonably priced, and their selection of mock meats is so impressive - plus they are all made from scratch! 👏🏻 Pictured is: 🌱Satay chicken sticks: these are so saucy and succulent, and the chicken is beautifully charred - SO much flavour! 🌱Malaysian Style Laksa (GFO)- a spicy and creamy coconut broth with vegan bbq pork, vegan fish cake, fried bean curd, puffed tofu, bean sprouts and two types of noodles. This is easily the best laksa I’ve had, with the perfect amount of seasoning and heat, so creamy and loaded up with so many delicious ingredients 😍 🌱BBQ Pork Steamed Bun: these are cooked perfectly, such a soft pillowy bun with loads of delicious filling! 🌱Squid rings: served with lemon and aioli. These are exactly how I remember squid rings to be, except they weren’t chewy at all, just delightfully crispy and crunchy. 🌱Heavenly Lychee Mocktail - so refreshing and not overly sweet, with real lychees (and a thoughtfully provided spoon so you can eat them 😄) Little Beans also have a lot of unique vegan groceries in their cafe, including mock meats, sauces, Faux Sho gourmet cheeses, and they even sell their housemade satay sticks frozen for you to take home!

I was really looking forward to a meal here but sadly I have to write a negative review. The photos on Google are not a match. The decor seemed worn, the place seemed dirty, the table, chairs & floors were sticky. The wait staff seemed confused, they served one of our entrees to the table next to us and didn't apologise, simply made us wait another 15 mins into our mains and served the very gooey radish cakes without a smile. Our mains was nasi lemak, maybe we've been spoilt but the rice was bland, the sambal tasted like it came out of a bottle. The rendang was runny and bland and the meat substitute was chewy and I was personally a little disappointed as I was sure I was eating mushroom and that was not a taste I expected with nasi lemak at all. Sadly we will not be returning as for the price, we could have gone to a 'chain' restaurant and received bigger tastier portions of the vegan/vegetarian variety.

This is a late review. As a busy working mum, I didn’t get to write this earlier. My family didn’t have a good experience at LBG in 2021. We had booked in for lunch. Our friends are vegans and we thought, let’s take them for a yummy meal. We heard good things about LBG. We had a then young bubba, only 5 months old. We were running just slightly late by a few minutes (as parents with babies do) and we were being pestered through phone calls by the lady owner. She was quite rude on our arrival, she spoke in a rude tone and repeatedly said she was trying to call us. Which we were quite aware of as both hubby and I were trying to get our fussy baby (who had a tough night with teething) into the stroller from the car park. Our friends had to come from a distance away, they were right behind us on arrival and also greeted rudely by the lady owner. After I explained why we were running late and apologised, I did not get any response from the lady owner.

We definitely won’t be coming back and the other family that were with us that day won’t be visiting again either. We have all not visited since we were treated that way in 2021.

Also, LBG did not have a fair Eftpos minimum limit back in 2021, charging an exorbitant amount of fees for each transaction under their high minimum eftpos limit. I hope this has improved since then, to be fair to customers. I’m sure negotiating with their chosen financial...

Ordered a takeaway today and had a bad experience with this place - we were halfway home when they called and advised that they had given us the wrong order. My husband agreed to go back and change the order after dropping my baby and me home although we live about half an hour away and had an upset baby in the car. When he returned with the food they put the the blame on me for picking up the incorrect food items and not checking claiming that they had double checked with me that I was the right person and exactly what the order was. Why would I purposely identify to be a person who I was not and agree to pick up food that I didn’t order and pay more for that food to drive half an hour back to return it? Apologised only when I called to rectify the situation and just the way they handled the whole thing was quite awful. Not taking ownership of any fault at all. Apparently they don’t do refunds as well so when you order a takeaway please make sure you check before you walk away. They also claimed that they will need to throw away the incorrect food order but made very sure they checked that my husband brought every single incorrect food item back so that they could throw it away? So far we have trusted most restaurants to provide the right order without checking but I suppose we can’t always be too trusting. Won’t go back for sure based on...
