We have most of our family events here and they are large events usually requiring a $200 booking fee but it is completely worth it.
I've made the mistake of trying to have an event somewhere new like roar bar and grill. We didn't end up getting our food after waiting TWO HOURS.
We had to walk and have a refund on everything.
At the last drop, not only have they honoured requests when making bookings all food ordered and drinks have come out with extremely reasonable timing.
Cake or cupcakes put in the fridge and received with no charges and in a timely manner. It honestly makes you question how other places can't do it, but it must come down to the staff and team work.
Table booking fee refunded in cash on the day by manager, Another thing I had to chase up from booking at other places.
Roar bar and grill didn't refund me my booking fee even after all the headache and having to send an entire table home with no food.
I spoke with the manager of the last drop and she had told me because of the heat some people make bookings and don't show, so basically my review is to say if you want good food, affordable drink and a great atmosphere book the last local for the guarantee- don't screw them around and not show up and 100% don't make the mistake like me and try to explore new places especially like roar bar and grill because you will be disappointed.
Without any uncertainty they follow through every time. This would've been my fourth booking for 30+ people across the last few years and we didn't do platters.

The dumplings we got did not look anything like the picture on the menu. The dipping sauce was not very nice, dumplings were ok. I tried the new laksa dish. This was full of hokkein noodles, fish pieces, calamari, prawns and mussels. All the seafood was cooked perfectly and the dish was very tasty. The restaurant was busy and a bit noisy, but other than that, we had a good time and enjoyed our meals.
Update review on visit for 19 Feb 2024.... Went for lunch as family of 4 to celebrate a birthday. We ordered the chefs platter as entree to share and asked for mains to come out after a gap in the courses. We were still eating our entree when our mains were served. Other than that small issue, lunch was very nice. Service was good although they no longer take your order at the table, you need to order and pay at the counter
Delicious food, friendly efficient staff Went there for lunch today. Very impressed with the food, the salt n pepper squid for entree was delicious and a generous serving. The salad very fresh and complimented the squid perfectly. Lucky we were sharing the entree. There was a small issue with my mains which Hargen and Jodie both helped rectify quickly and efficiently. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the mussels were really tender and the heat of the chili was just right. Really appreciate Hargen and Jodie looking after us. Thank you. We...

However, I recently decided to give up drinking alcohol, so when I went to the last local a couple of days ago I ordered a pint of Coke Zero instead. As I went to pay I was absolutely shocked by the price. Eight dollars and fifty cents.
In comparison a pint of Swan beer is $8. That contains alcohol which is taxed to infinity. And even that is cheaper than buying a coke.
Pint of beer - $8 Pint of Coke Zero - $8.50
It just feels wrong…I left feeling as if I had just been scammed. Can you please explain to me how you can justify charging that? Why is it so extortionately priced? By far the most expensive pint of Coke I have ever come across.
I get that you guys have many, many overheads… but come on… $8.50?!? On a drink that probably costs you about 20 cents to pour? That’s craaaaazy
Needless to say I won’t be ordering another one, will stick to water in future - but is there anything at all we can do to get that price down? Absolutely love your place but I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon….I don’t have the bankroll to be ordering Coke zero’s.
If you could ensure that the right people see this I would greatly appreciate it. Would very much appreciate a reply too. God I sound so whiney… but come on!!! $8.50?!?!?!?...
