Went and ate in the restaurant tonight because my preferred/favourite Indian restaurant, a little further down the road was closed. So I decided to give Mayur Jindalee a try... Service was great, the 2 wait staff that served me were very attentive and lovely. I ordered the chicken curry (medium), meat samosas and garlic naan, And my god what an absolute disappointment. Samosas were so bland, even with the sauce. You could probably find better in the supermarket freezer section. Curry was so spicy hot it was completely inedible and I myself will usually order "hot" dishes but choose to order medium when eating somewhere new just to be on the safe side. Anyway I called waitress over and explained the curry was far too hot for a medium, she was understanding and took it away, returning shortly after with a new dish and called it "mild"... I gave it a try and once again it was unpleasantly spicy, I asked her again "Are you sure this is mild", she confirmed yes and I was done, taste buds gone. The only good dish was the garlic naan but I mean if you can't pull bread and garlic off then you really have no place in a kitchen. So I ask for it all take away as I wanted to take it home for my roommates to try just in case it was just my taste buds being sensitive but they too (who usually enjoy a "hot" curry) couldn't endure this "mild" chicken curry. I thought maybe its was just an accident and some how, just this dish on this particular night, was unfortunately messed up but then I came to the reviews to have a wee read and saw how completely unprofessional the "response from owner" were on any review where one of his/her customers had an unpleasant experience and how utterly poorly the owner takes criticism. It all made sense as to why the food is so extremely disappointing. Its not a restaurant to please customers, its a restaurant to feed his/her ego. Worst India food I have come across in perth. I cook better curry myself and trust me I still wouldn't try selling mine lol... Now I love to spend good money on great food but this was definitely $37.50 of straight disappointment.
If you are looking for a good curry I 100% recommend Dhaba Jindalee, not even 100m further down the road and 100% the best Indian that I have come across in Perth. And everyone I have taken there has absolutely fallen in...
Read moreYesterday we celebrated our son's 18th birthday at Mayur Indian Restaurant and it was nothing short of spectacular, truly deserving a 7-star rating! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance set a welcoming and festive tone. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large group, ensuring everyone was comfortable and taken care of.
The highlight, undoubtedly, was the food. Each dish was a masterpiece, boasting authentic flavors that transported us straight to the heart of India. The spices were perfectly balanced, appealing to both the Indian cuisine aficionados and those new to these exotic flavors in our group.
What impressed us most was the attention to detail. The chefs and servers paid special attention to our preferences, customizing dishes to suit varying spice tolerances and dietary needs. The birthday boy and his friends were thrilled with a Chef's special Goat Curry, which was a delightful surprise!
The service was impeccable. Attentive, friendly, yet unobtrusive, the staff ensured our celebration went smoothly, allowing us to focus on the joyous occasion.
In conclusion, Mayur Indian Restaurant isn't just a place to eat; it's an experience. It's perfect for special occasions, and they certainly made our son's 18th birthday an unforgettable one. Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate a special event with great food and excellent service!

Read moreI went into this Indian restaurant at 5.55pm on 4/4/20 and waited 35 minutes and it still wasnât ready so I asked at the counter to cancel the order of which they could not find Three times the guy looked so had to give him the banking receipt for the order even though I explained Five times what the order was he eventually found the order and went to the kitchen and then appears with the order. I drove home and then realised that they had not given my my full order so I called the store and complained of which he then hung up on me so I called back and this time the lady hung up on me so I called back again and the guy behind the counter said he would deliver to my address that heâd be there in 10 minutes anyway 20 minutes later still not arrived then my phone rings and he tells me heâs not coming so I get in my car with the food and demand a refund of which then the chef started to abuse me.
The advice I give is not to order or buy from this Indian restaurant their customer service is appalling and service no better.
Reading previous comments from other people I now understand why and I will never step foot in this restaurant again.
Before you buy please read all the comments from...
