I recently visited Miss Maud's for an afternoon lunch, hoping to enjoy their all-day breakfast menu. As someone with specific food preferences and an allergy to mushrooms, I've typically been able to swap items without issue at other locations of this franchise, usually exchanging mushrooms for beans. However, at this particular visit, I was informed at checkout that beans were not available and substitutions were not permitted. This lack of flexibility was surprising and disappointing, especially given that other franchise locations offer more accommodating options.

Furthermore, the overall quality and quantity of the breakfast offerings seemed to have declined. The eggs served were notably small, and the hash browns had been switched to a less flavorful, triangular off the shelf brand. It's concerning that dietary considerations, such as a mushroom allergy, are not taken into account. Instead of offering a suitable alternative, the restaurant opted to simply omit the mushrooms and charge extra for any additions, without offering a price reduction for removed items.

Additionally, the English breakfast tea served was a herbal variety, which was unexpected and not to my liking. I understand that traditional English breakfast tea is served at other franchise locations, adding to the inconsistency of this experience.

Overall, it appears that cost-cutting measures are prioritized over customer satisfaction. This experience has led me and my family to abandon our patronage of franchise establishments, opting instead for local, traditional businesses that better align with our...

Mandurah Forum Disgraceful $83 for dinner the kids burger and fries a maccas cheese burger was bigger salad was stale/old, 100% fruit juice what a joke poured from a cheap carton saw them doing it near coffee machine but charged the earth. Ice lemon tea I asked if it was made fresh or bottle she said made fresh ha ha cordial and water from tap so sweet undrinkable. I asked the young boy that delivered this drink if it was cordial his comment was ""I am not qualified to answer that question"" he is a waiter / food server surely he knows or is qualified to answer question on what food he is serving. Fish and chips not worth the money, chicken and avocado sandwich toasted hardly any chicken light spread of avo only sandwich no chips or anything for $17.00 . If there had of been another food shop open i would of asked for money back and left but had no choice at the moment at Mandurah forum I hope you pick up your game by the time the food court opens or you will be out...

We are regular customers here, once or twice a week. Usually great service when Charlotte was manager. Unfortunately today's experience was super disappointing. Always ask for a serve of Mayo with certain meals, never been charged extra in the past three years or so and today I was told I had to pay. No big deal really, however the new manger, Michelle, quote her words, "well they've been doing it wrong, now I'm here it will all change", i do not have a problem at all with paying for Mayo, however just a nicer approach and less abrupt attitude towards customers goes a long way. We are not children, we are paying regular customers that enjoy the coffee and food at miss mauds and service is normally great. Michelle's abrupt approach was not at all needed a nice way would have been to politely explain that perhaps they were doing it wrong and unfortunately that has to change now. Totally would have accepted that. But hey now Michelle is there it's going to...

The food was OK but lots of confusion with the orders and was told by one of the staff that lunch wasn't available after 2.00pm tried another staff member and she said it was available until 2.30pm and takeaways and shop closed at 3.00pm. We wanted to take some cakes with us as we were leaving. We got told they closed every day at 3.00pm, they must lose a lot of customer's and money because all the other similar businesses were open much later. Edit update: Sharing my experience at Miss Mauds via Google review, we've noticed considerable improvement since our last visit, likely attributed to changes in management and personnel, a lot of younger staff serving, Nox stood out as being very friendly and helpful. The staff overall demonstrated exceptional efficiency and warmth, ensuring timely order delivery.

As far as first experiences go, this is a fail. There are some things that need improving to make an enjoyable customer experience. I asked for avocado on toast which is not a menu item granted, but the lady said it was no problem to make. It came out with tiny slices on it, see pic. Why do we put a tiny garnish? If your going to do that do it right. Coffee had a burnt taste. I am also confused as to why I ordered first at our table but waiting 10 minutes longer than my mate to get meals. I feel this can be a great place but the small details need to be fixed. Hint - take a look at the salt and pepper shakers and find the inconsistencies.
