Pilbara Bakehouse — Restaurant in Western Australia

Just walked in off the street at 12midday on a Saturday, place was pretty busy. Placed an order for a ham and salad roll, the kid took my order and while I was looking at the cakes for sweets he comes out and tells me they can't make anything, while they had two people out the back in the kitchen. Didn't give me a reason why and he apologised, so I walked out with nothing, even though there was probably something else I would've eaten. Very poor service in my opinion.

update Have been in a couple of times since my last review, mostly happy with the food even if the staff are a little rude. Called in 11.20 on a Saturday morning, they're open all day. They didn't have any hamburgers in the baine marie so I asked the young fella if they were going to be making any more. He walked over to a window to have a look into the kitchen, came back and said no. I said 'so you aren't going to make any burgers for the whole day' and he said no, he didn't even ask anyone in the kitchen. Again, very poor service, seemed like he just couldn't be bothered. Website says caters to GF. HONESTLY!!! Went here to see 3 small sweets in whole shop which were gluten free and told bread only in freezer and no fresh gf bread. Sandwiches and roles and pastries are all gluten so can't see how you can say you cater to gluten free with such minimal options available. Extremely dissapointing and feel if you are going to use the GF draw card then have a look more options.

My experience would have been 1 star except that I am sure for those who can eat gluten they would benefit coming here just not anyone else who can't eat this food for fear of being...

I could smell this bakery from across the road and boy it did not disappoint.

For lunch I had the sausage roll, jam donut and a coke to wash it down with, now I was really keen for a pie but stupid me turned up at 12pm and most had sold out already.

Lesson learned so get in fast !!!

You can sit inside and enjoy the aircon there is limited tables and chairs OR you can sit outside in the shade, there was a decent breeze no hassles with the flies but you could still feel the heat.

Overall a fantastic experience service...
