KFC Karratha — Restaurant in Western Australia

The great colonel and his dirty bird hold a very special place in my heart. I'm not big on fast food but over the last 20 odd years of my adult life the colonel has always been there for me at my lowest.

During times of the greatest of hangovers, he's always been there to pick me up. Sadly however his staff have constantly been a let down. From forgetting to include food items in the box to soggy chips or chicken, long queue times, refresher towels or cutlery not included.. it seems to be good quality service and quality fresh food do not go hand in hand with KFC.

That is of course until I stumbled across Karratha Kfc. I have travelled all over this great land and sampled many of the colonel's establishments and can say that without doubt Karratha KFC is by far the greatest of them all. Now in fairness it's a small sample size in that I've only been here twice but both times the service has been impeccable, no food items paid for have been forgotten, Refresher towel and cutlery have been included and surrounded by the freshest tastiest fine colonel you could ever hope to indulge in.

Congrats to the management and the entire team. This ladies and gentlemen is how a KFC should be run. The colonel would be proud.. well done team...

We arrived at 12.28 and placed an order, was told that it would have to be cooked fresh. No worries that was fine. No one waiting at that time. A few minutes later a crowd of about 9 people arrived placed orders then proceeded to have their orders made quickly and happy customer off they go. We still wait. It is now 12.48. The young guy says sorry it will be another 5 minutes waiting on the grill. It is bacon not a whole pig and chicken strips in a wrap. That was it over it. We asked for a refund. Oh pls wait. NO more waiting. Oh here is the order. NO. Money back and stick the KFC. People have lives and that's why we chose fast food. What a joke. Left store at 12.59 and...

We had ordered quite a bit this day, particularly two big buckets of chicken. I asked if the chicken could be covered with foil as we were travelling to Port Hedland and was told I had to come in as it would mess up their timing for express service. Very disappointed with the rudeness of the duty manager and the customer service. Staff were also laughing in the background. It takes less than 10 seconds to tears off some foil and really they spent a lot longer arguing with me then prioritising a good service.
