We came here for lunch and were warmly welcomed by the staff who showed us to the table and gave us some water.

The menu had quite a few options with a kids menu too, they also had some food that was pre-made that you could choose from if you didn’t want to order ( savoury and sweet).

My friend ended up getting the chicken schnitzel sandwich which was delicious. It was very full with a good amount of sauce and the chicken was crispy. It also came with homemade sweet potato crisps . The drink she ordered was some fresh orange juice which went well with the sandwich.

I ordered the chilli scrambled eggs which came on a piece of sourdough bread, it also had jalapeños mixed into the egg with some feta and avocado on top with some sliced chilli’s. I also added chorizo which went perfectly together with the egg. It had a good heat to it without burning my mouth completely which I appreciate. For my drink I ordered a small matcha was very good, it had a cute little heart on the top and had a good colour to it, the small was the perfect size for me to finish.

The place also had a kids play area and had lots of nice outside seating...

If you're on the hunt for a brekkie that’ll knock your socks off, Runyea Coffee is the spot. I had the eggs benney with bacon and spicy hollandaise sauce, and let me tell you, mate, it was bloody ripper. Those poached eggs? Perfectly runny, like a warm sunrise on your plate. The bacon was crisped up just right—salty, smoky, and straight-up Aussie gold. And that spicy hollandaise? Crikey, it had the perfect kick to wake up my taste buds and make me glad I rolled out of bed.

On the side, I got a hash brown that deserves a standing ovation. Crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside—it was like biting into a golden cloud.

The coffee? Smooth as a fresh waxed surfboard and strong enough to make you feel like you could wrestle a kangaroo. Whether you're a flat white fanatic or a long black lover, they’ve got your caffeine cravings sorted.

All up, Runyea Coffee is the place to be when you’re after a feed that’s as comforting as your favourite pair of thongs and as exciting as a day at Bondi. Do yourself a favour and give it a crack—you won’t be...

Please never ever change! Coming here gives me the same feeling like going to my grans for coffee and breakfast. Every single staff here are just fabulous, they say hello whenever they aren’t busy, they smile, they are generally just chill down to earth extremely pleasant peolle, in fact best staff of any cafe in Perth I have ever been too. I have started coming here frequently now, love the one handed specials, the eggs Benny’s the mushroom toastie, the matchas, the coffees, I love that menu is unique and food is next level not just your standard. The owner also looks super chill and speaks well to his staff and works on cafe floor. This place is so good, other cafes really need to lift their game And I drive up from Padbury and my sister from Kingsley to meet up here due to how amazing this place. Please don’t change, it’s laid back, serious about providing good quality food and coffee and great one hander specials, it’s chill it’s not pretentious what so ever and the vibe, atmosphere and staff are what makes this place so special....

We have night expectations for this place, it was highly recommended on one of the foodie websites of Perth. We made a reservation ahead of time, which was good idea cuz the place was packed. So make a reservation. We came to celebrate a birthday and mentioned it in the reservation. We got sitted next to the patio entrance, meaning people are going back and forth, and it was loud. I was looking forward to be sitted somewhere nicer since we did make a reservation. As for the food, it was alright, nothing special. We have the pancakes with bacon and the kimchi eggs. It was ok, nothing special. In our opinion it was not worth their price. They are one (-) person size, so don't plan on sharing. We have flat white, which was alright, a bit cold. I guess it was a busy day and they were sitting on the bench for a bit. Service was good, the staff is very kind. The join was clean. It was Father's day, it was busy, kids everywhere, it felt like a pub style but with prices of a high end restaurant. We probably not going to be back. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Highly recommend this place! Fantastic family friendly cafe. Very popular so would recommend booking during busy periods. We went here today for lunch with our kids and the staff were so lovely and friendly. We didn't book and were able to get a table with no problems. When ordering no table numbers were given out, the staff just remembered where everyone was sitting. Even offered to move us to a bigger table when it came available. I had the Rueben but different - absolutely amazing!! My son had the Three cheese jaffel - great serving size and he really enjoyed it. Great little play area for the kids. Just one recommendation would be to remove the wood chips. The babies just put them straight in their mouths. And they can't be avoided as they were all over the floor. The staff were amazing - everyone was friendly and kind. Welcoming us when we arrived and farewelled us when we left. Visited again - this time I had the brisket cheeseburger. Absolutely delicious however very messy. Again couldn't fault the customer service.
