Tucked away in a nondescript suburban shopping centre is this thriving little cafe & burger joint. Open early through to lunch most days but Friday nights are the local highlight for ‘burger night’ with people lined up outside, even on a cold night, to order either standard menu items or the latest ‘tonight only’ speciality burger and ice cream cone & other sweet treats (details of these go up on their Facebook page early each Friday arvo). So far the Thai-inspired pork belly burger has been the standout, and was sublime. The standard bacon deluxe burger is also very good, and they do great chips (even better now they offer two sizes). Found some of their slices way too sweet, but a recent passion fruit slice was yum. There always seems to be a cheerful buzz in the kitchen. In the past, had two not so great & overpriced meals here that put us off for a year or so, but decided to return several months ago & glad we did. The only thing missing is a standard chicken fillet burger. Some Friday nights there’s a fried chicken burger special, but the only regular menu one is the Cajun Chicken burger which I got one lunchtime & was disappointed as it had just three very small slices of cooked chicken ($10) & decided to give them the benefit of the doubt as it was near the end of service. Seating: minimal to none indoors (is more an area just for ordering); chairs, tables & a few sun umbrellas outside. Accessibility: may need to ask someone to open the door, or get their attention & order via the main window. At times chairs/tables are in positions that would make it difficult to approach in a wheelchair/on crutches.

Ryan John Kitchen is a place that I've been wanting to go to for a bit. I follow their Instagram and every Friday I see their new burger of the week and finally I got a free Friday night to go and enjoy burger night! From the get go the staff were amazing. We were curious about the heat of the reaper sauce and got to have a taste before ordering. Top service. We got the Gary and Cajun chicken. Wish I took better photos but wanted to get stuck in as it smelled amazing. And definitely lived up to its best burger status. Extra points for a good bun. Easy tell if it's a good burger place or not. Everything was fresh and good value. You know you found a gem when the entire time we were there it was a revolving door of people ordering and picking up food. All in excellent time too. Props to the kitchen for being so fast. Definitely ordering again.

Been meaning to visit for such a long time and just never managed to get here! After a meeting at Spiers Centre, it was the perfect opportunity and believe me, it did not disappoint. Great vibe with the tables outside and owners/staff chatting with customers in between taking orders and cooking. Ordered the Sherrifs Burger and was asked if I wanted it hot and spicy..... Yes, Yes, Yes please. Sat outside getting some Vit D and within minutes, my burger was delivered to my table..... it was everything I could have asked for and more. So many shout outs of Thank you to satisfied customers...... This kitchen sure knows how to keep their customers happy and satisfied. I will be back soon with family in tow......

I have just come back from a coffee run at RJ's, now its not my first time and the delicious coffee keeps me coming back as does the yummy, well priced food. Its a burger and toasties joint - and they do both to perfection. I always want to order something different but the chicken, cheese, bacon, aioli toastie ($11) wins for me every time. They have burger for a battler, where if you have a spare $12 you can buy one and they will feed someone in need which is AWESOME guys well done. Finally, what makes the experience awesome is the lovely lady at the counter. I think I caught her name as Kelly. It doesn't matter whether you are in a suit or steel caps, 70 or 17 she will have a conversation with you. Once I went in and found her dancing along and singing along to the music. She is a gem and genuinely cares about the customers. I've come away smiling today as I go back to the grunge of my emails and working from home - so for me, thats pretty special. Thanks team, keep up the awesome work and Kelly is an...
