Ordered two coffees with sweeteners, a savoury muffin warmed up (I was asked if I wanted it toasted?) and citrus tart. To say I was disappointed after what was placed on the table was a gross understatement! The food came out in paper bags, no cutlery, the muffin stone cold, the tart rock solid frozen, one coffee was in a takeaway cup and the other in a ceramic mug. Requested the muffin be warmed up, it came out on a plate with a knife the top was so crusty it was not edible and the rest of it when chewed was so doughy you could hardly swallow it. This was definitely frozen and old produce. And all that for nearly $27! Should’ve gone to Maccas! Safe to say that was my one and only time I’ll ever go to The Coffee Club Ellenbrook.

Sadly this, once a favourite, has gone downhill over the last few months. Despite the cafe being nearly empty when we ordered, we waited 25 minutes for our meal. I suspect that the kitchen's focus on Uber Eats may have been the reason. The food that did arrive was luke warm. It was served on a plate so cold it felt like it had come straight from a fridge so any residual heat in the food was sucked up by it. The pot of tea was disgraceful. The, tiny, pot was not clean and the requested hot water came in an open jug and not in a pot so it went cold very quickly too. The recent price rises combined with the foregoing description leaves me with no intention of returning. 😔

Took so long for bacon and eggs on toasted and pancakes… which really disappointed. I recommend not going there if you have young child wanting food and hungry. They need at least 2 staffs in the kitchen instead of 3 on the shop floor. I felt so sorry for the chefs struggling himself to cook all the food for the whole cafe and uber eats orders. The management needs to manage better which allocated the staff. Food was precooked i reckon, bacon burnt and dry, poached eggs were cold. Pancakes like they are swimming under maple syrup… not very pleasant to eat. My daughter never made a comment( easy eater). But she didn’t eat it and I couldn’t finish it as well.

In summary: 1 hour wait for food, poor quality and owner nowhere to be found when making a complaint.

How it went:

We decided to eat here, even though we'd been told that under the new owners the place had gone from quality to terrible. What a mistake we made.

While it was a Saturday we expected it to be busy, though the place wasnt full, within minutes of ordering it became apparent that all was not well.

The drinks arrived quickly, we had a hot chocolate and a mocha, both looked like they had been made from packets.

Then we waited for over an hour for our food, during which time many people asked about their food and ultimately many walked out after asking for refunds. One man quite rightly was very vocal about his wait and that of his family. Menulog orders were whizzing out the door during this time.

We were about to give up when amazingly our food was prepared, simply a flatbread and eggs Benedict.

The flatbread was crushed to within an inch of its life and overcooked, the eggs Benedict had rubbery, microwaved bacon and the eggs were barely warm. Cooks had no idea what they were doing.

During our visit the new owner made appearances but did not speak to any customers, simply engaged briefly with the staff (clearly some of which were family) and left the counter staff to deal with the unhappy customers.

We will not return to Coffee Club Ellenbrook, as will anyone we know in town. We will make sure of it.

None of the original staff were retained and it's now clearly a tax dodge/ visa rort...

i ordered a cheesecake with cream and an iced chai with oat milk (of which the cake was given to a different table and we had to ask about it) and had planned to stay and study for a few hours while i waited for my partner to finish work, which was fine up till around 3.15pm (i was there from 12pm, and there were plenty of empty tables around).

i had planned to leave around 3.45pm (google mentioned that the store closes at 4pm) which i thought was a reasonable time to leave and leaves them enough time to pack and clean up or whatever they need. the two waitresses started cleaning and sweeping the store and chatting in chinese (im chinese and can understand them fine) loudly, and i overheard them making comments about customers and cleaning up.

i was fine with this, as i continued to study, but it came to around 3.25pm where i overheard one of the waitresses comment on why i was still here and that i was taking up her spot and she needs to clean the area. they regularly walked past my corner as well, having conversation between themselves and mentioning 'she's still here' with a tone.

this made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcomed, and it came across as very unprofessional. there should be no reason about why you should be talking about your customers directly in front of them, even if they could or could not understand you. i'm very disappointed as i was planning on making this my study spot with how cozy and comfortable the store was, but will be having second...

First time visiting Ellenbrook one. I chose CC because coffee is always good and wanted a sandwich. The service was very poor. I gave instructions that drinks were to be served at same time as food and wanted them extra hot. They forgot the instruction, our food hadn’t arrived and coffee was served which they took back and said they will make us another once food arrived. Whilst waiting for food we observed the staff in the kitchen. No food gloves were worn and a few times they touched their faces. Person behind counter making drinks then emptied the bins, no gloves were worn before she returned to serving behind the counter. No hygiene was demonstrated at this store. We waited 30 minutes before food was served. Then they forgot our drinks and we had to remind them. Toasted chicken bacon sandwich was not hot and was over toasted. Fries were over cooked too. Drinks were extra hot as requested. When checking the receipt discovered we had been charged extra for the sauce that came with the chips. Counter staff didn’t point out that it was extra. Disappointing visit to this branch. Staff member apologised for the long wait...
