Dôme Ellenbrook - Service to time - 11.30am - 1st August 2025. I visited Dôme Ellenbrook for breakfast and ordered the vegetarian breakfast along with a pot of tea. However, when my order arrived, I discovered that the bowl of mushrooms included a piece of bacon. I immediately raised the issue with a staff member, explaining that I had specifically ordered a vegetarian meal and that the presence of bacon was completely inappropriate. Unfortunately, she seemed confused about the nature of my concern and failed to grasp why serving meat in a vegetarian dish was problematic. She responded in a dismissive manner and simply asked if I wanted another bowl of mushrooms. I declined and requested to speak with a manager. When the manager arrived, I reiterated the issue—that my vegetarian breakfast had been served with bacon. She, too, asked if I would like a replacement bowl of mushrooms, which I declined. I then asked her if she understood the seriousness of the situation, particularly from a dietary and ethical standpoint. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, she asked me what I would like them to do about it. At that point, since no one appeared to understand why this was a significant issue, I requested a refund. When a customer orders a vegetarian meal, it is entirely reasonable to expect that the food will be free from meat and not contaminated in any way. This oversight is not only unacceptable but also shows a concerning lack of awareness around dietary preferences and restrictions. I was not seeking a refund or a replacement meal- I was simply looking for acknowledgment of the mistake and an understanding of why it was unacceptable. Ordered a big breakfast only to be presented with one tiny piece of bacon but a massive piece of bread, absolutely shocking!! After presenting the issue to the staff to please add at least a few more rashes of bacon which would have satisfied me unfortunately I got this woke attitude from a young man who played the victim and claimed he was a human being…..I reminded him no one has been rude to him & I then simply asked for a refund. I have never experienced such a cost cutting rip off for many years now. No wonder the cafe down the street is packed & Dome is two thirds empty!!

One other thing, the transgender waiter who is serving coffee to then proceed to waive his fan in your face for attention is out of control, he then while cleaning tables tried to throw cutlery around like a scene in the movie Cocktail was frankly excruciating & embarrassing to watch. Had breakfast this morning around 9:30AM We ordered 2 pancakes and the presentation wasn’t the best, I expect to have the cream in a side dish rather than plotted on top. The food wasn’t that bad just needs to work more on presentation….. the frozen berries were pretty sour should just stick to Strawberries instead. The girl who served us, don’t know her name, she didn’t give us a table number nor did she ask for a receipt she was busy chatting away to the other workers. She did end up handing us our table number. They also forgot our coffee that we ordered and the other girl didn’t even know about it….. we waited for 10 minutes.

There was a tall young girl with blonde hair tied up in a bun who was very professional and apologised for the errors, she was awesome! Her hospitality was spot on! If I was to give a small advice, train your workers about standards.
