Delicious Indian food exactly how it tastes in India ! We went to this restaurant twice in a week as we wanted to try different items on the menu and couldnt eat them all in one go !!! Food : Dosa are well made and the accompanying alloo (potato) sabji is quite tasty. The sambhar (dal/legumes) was a bit too thick for my liking , but the flavours were on point . The Pani Puri was nice and crunchy, but the accompanying water was again too thick , but the flavour was nice and tangy with a spicy kick to it . The chhole bhature was the highlight , very fluffy bread , not too oily , just right. With the accompanying chickpea curry which was outstanding. Super delicious meal just like it would taste in India !! We even had a coffee- the south indian coffee, which was very different to a refular latte, yet very fragrant and flavoursome. Service : the cute robots , and their expressions, which serve the tables are a unique thing I saw . A bit of a novelty, and fun to watch. Location : very conveniently located on High Road in Willetton Parking : there is plenty of free parking around , and across the street at bunnings too (lol) Overall : a quick service and reasonably priced , delicious meal in a clean and friendly environment. Definitely will go again.

Large yet cosy restaurant. Multi-purpose and multifunction, that can cater to takeaway food, morning/ lunch, bain-marie cafe, and lots of desserts and treats on display in glass fridges. Outdoor dining and indoor with space to hold a banquet or function. Dark interior and splashes of colour. Booths and tables. This place is a mix of everything. I liked my oat milk chai latte, sweet and spicy. The service lady tried to help me with my allergies and my friend's worried persistence at making sure I enjoyed myself and not having a food reaction. Unfortunately, it wasn't 100% working. I had a mild reaction. Though I think due to the msg used as I'm sensitive to the amount. Other than that, I have enjoyed the food. The Gobi Prattha was a good choice. The chicken noodles dry but remained me of Malaysia. It had that flavour. The chilli chicken was good, too. Overall, it was a good experience and good restaurant, though I haven't tried the curries, which unfortunately I can't due to my food sensitiveness. I still enjoyed it. Parking and toilet facilities on-site too.

Great place for a great range of North and South Indian food. The restaurant was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The young man that served us was lovely and polite and attentive. We ordered a selection of dishes to share. Even though the restaurant was busy, the wait time wasn't long at all. The portion sizes were big and had lots of flavour. The chicken curry had lots of succulent pieces of chicken in. The parantha and naan breads were fluffy and crispy. The mysore masala dosa was crispy and had a lot of filling in it and the sambar was delicious. We ordered a Mysore masala dosa, Amritsari kulcha with chole, home style chicken curry, plain naan and a paneer parantha. We would recommend all of these. You could taste all the different spices in each dish. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. At one point we even had a robot bring one of our dishes! We will definitely be going back to try more. Thank you everyone.

There had been good publicity recently regarding the redesigning of Kauphy Place, so we wanted to have our Diwali Dinner here and give this place another go, after 2017. Unfortunately, once again, it was a terrible experience. The food is simply not upto the standards required for such a large restaurant which has been in existence for a number of years now.

As to the dishes we ordered, I will rate them below.

  1. Chicken 65 was dry, stale and ridiculously priced at $18.50 (for a starter item). It was a bad parody of what the original dish is supposed to be - saucy, spicy & delicious. (0/5)

  2. The Egg Noodles were dry, tasteless and plain horrible. (1/5)

  3. Chicken Chettinad was atrocious. The curry was bland, portions were small and the actual chicken itself tasted old & stale. (1/5)

  4. Vegetable Manchurian was the only decent dish out of the five we had. This was well done, appropriately spiced and tasted good (4/5)

  5. Paan Kulfi had none of the creaminess of Kulfi and the Paan taste was extremely subtle. Another ridiculously priced item at $5, when the portion size was not much larger than a small Indian sweet. (1/5) We've had similar dishes at other restaurants for $7, where we needed 2-3 people to finish it; as the portion size was so big.

Lastly, for a restaurant that was only 30% full, the customer service was below par. We had ordered South Indian Filter Coffee along with our dinner, which never arrived. We had to remind the staff to bring this out for us. And no apology or explanation was ever given.

After our initial bad experience in 2017, (where we ended up walking out due to not being attended to for 60 minutes), we had high hopes that with the recent hype, it had improved. Not only were our expectations dashed but we were simply appalled at how bad the food was. It is genuinely astonishing that there has not been a single improvement (from a service & food perspective) in this place even after 4 years....

In all honesty, this is the worst Indian food I have ever had in my life. I have lived in England, India subcontinent and also in Melbourne for a long long time but never seen a restaurant serves a South Indian meal with burnt Roti ( bread ) and when I have complained about a burned bread ( Roti ) what has been served, then they gave me a undercooked roti 😡

When I have put it to the restaurant manager's attention that now the bread ( roti ) in completely undercooked then the restaurant manager took away my undercooked Roti and offered me some Daal and by the time, he has decided to bring the Daal, my entire food was cold 🥶 😡

Never offered me any replacement or compensation of the food been served and cold.

And guess what I have paid the full price of the food or even more $20.58 for a South Indian meal which I didn't even enjoy or couldn't even eat.

The restaurant manager told me next time when I come back to his restaurant, he will offer me better food , who the hell will go there for this atrocious food and horrible service and rip off with full price for a South Indian meal which in the menu was $19.50 or something like that and they charged me the bill of $20.58 by providing me nothing.

I can guarantee you folks that I have eaten better Indian foods in restaurants in London, Melbourne, Sydney, Rome and many other Indian cities and this is the worst anyone can ever have. I did travelled today 20km+ ( back and forth 40+km) to try this restaurant on a Monday night and the restaurant and the manager and the management for sure disappoint me big time and it is such a Rip off.

There are other Indian restaurants in Perth which is 10 times better than this restaurant for sure.

0 out of 10 that is what I will score them and I would never recommend them to...

Yesterday, we had masala dosa, chole bature...both are good...but we also ordered traditional southindian coffee...to be frank...it doesnt taste like coffee....but i usually order their coffee most of the time and it is one of my favorite...but this time it tastes something different...and we ordered the coffee and food together...but we received it after when we asked them again and again when we finished our food...when we asked for the coffee...the lady who served as told they are serving fresh coffee...so it is taking time...but 30 - 40min for coffee...it's so surprising....and it is traditional southindian coffee we ordered but we received something like cappuccino with lot of froth on it...when we went to the counter we told them about this...but they are not ready to accept that when we told about the coffee...The lady who served as doesn't know how to serve the customers....she didn't even given as water....while we are waiting for the coffee after our food...we asked for the water...she told she forget...she given the water in a disrespectful way...very very bad customer service...not everyone...but that one lady she served as doesn't know how to behave. Until yesterday it was one of our personal spot...we used to go there...but this time am really...
