Tra Vinh Girrawheen Vietnamese Restaurant — Restaurant in Western Australia

I hate this place sm I’ve been here a couple times this time was seriously my last time here. Out of the 3 Vietnamese restaurants this is THE WORST, there’s a reason why every other place there is a long line and this place is the only one where you would be seated in seconds. I told the lady I wanted to cancel and she agreed already and she came to me again and asked me if I was sure I wanted to cancelled because she said it was already made (which is wasn’t- I saw them preparing my food in the kitchen which wasn’t already made) she looked me in the eyes so pityful so me being kind and a people please I said it’s alright I’ll have it (I’m really upset that I said I’d have it, and I know I should’ve just said no I don’t want it but really she shouldn’t be asking me again making me pity, since I already said very straight forwardly I wanted to cancel and she agreed-like go away!! Don’t ask me to think twice) I wanted to cancel because I’d already waited a long time and I thought they’d forgotten and the rest of my family were already finishing up. Legit wanted to puke after eating their food, I hate this place and I hate that lady.) honestly 100% of the people who come here just don’t want to wait the line at the other 2...

We normally go to another Vietnamese place in the same complex but we were craving for a savoury pancake so gave a go to this place as they have it on their menu. However after ordering food we were told by the kitchen that the pancake had finished for the day. My friend was very disappointed and she said she didn’t feel comfortable and preferred the other restaurant, as the place did not look clean or tidy with a lot of flies flying around and many dirty plates were left on the tables. Some of customers were coughing without covering their mouthes. No hot tea was provided on our table either. Tried to get a flask from another table but it was empty. Towards the end a cook (old Vietnamese lady) came out from the kitchen, sat next to our table, took her sandals off and sat on a chair with her bare feet up then started peeling an apple....well it might be an ‘authentic’ behaviour back in their home country but we live in Perth... the food was ok, they have similar menu and prices to other restaurants but waitresses were uninterested and not very friendly at all. Well with the overall experience we are not returning again...as there are other better...

I only came here to get a take away and had never been here before so had no expectations. I've also never tried Vietnamese type cuisine aside from rice paper rolls so I didn't really know what to expect. I found their menu online while standing out the front before going in to order.

The place seemed nice and there were a few people. The staff were very polite and friendly, even with an Aussie who had no hope of pronouncing the dish names correctly there were no problems and they were very patient.

The smell of food cooking coming from the kitchen was heavenly while I sat and waited for my order. The restaurant quickly started to fill with customers so it seems to be popular.

Our takeaway food was delicious and we're now considering going for a dine-in meal! I'll definitely...
