I was at Villa Da Vinci today for a family celebration, at approx 1pm (while the restaurant was fully seated) I noticed one of the staff interacting with one of the elderly patrons which pleasantly shocked and amazed me. Normally when asking if someone would like a drink or anything, a server would usually stand normally, however this staff member knelt down to eye level, most likely so she could be at eye level with the elderly patron and not having her strain her neck or head by looking up.
Shortly after I spoke to the staff member, who turned out to be the owner, said to me that she always lowers herself like that, to eye level (with her mother especially, she said).
As adults, we “look down” on children, standing high above them, but there are times when we lower our body down to their size to have that bit more of connection. I believe that this, small act, is a personality trait which is very rare to be found especially in a restaurant. It may not seem so big of a deal, but someone who can easily adjust to the elderly especially should be thanked...

The Food: Absolutely TOP CLASS with generous portions!! I had the Filet Mignon, my wife had the Arrabiatta pasta dish, and my teenage son had a Hawaiian pizza (that was too big for him to finish! ... a rare event for sure!). I tasted everything that the family had too, and vice versa, and was impressed with everything.
The Venue: Not flash. ... But with food this damn good, who cares!? ... I also really like the fact that the background music was exactly that - background music. We didn't have to shout to make ourselves heard over the 'background' music like in some other places.
The Service: Good, and friendly. I also really liked that they have no problem with splitting the bill if you have a group.
Overall Value: Very good considering the quality of the food and the size of the portions.

Be careful though, if you’re not a regular customer you’re likely to get shabby service from Anna as she placates and fusses around the regular customers. I was violently abused by one of her regulars when the young cashier needed her assistance and after a wait of several minutes I interrupted her politely (and to the table she was fussing with). She had to check a payment she had neglected to mark off the list previously. Needless to say that I did not enter into conversation with man and the abusive and foul language he unloaded as I...
